We had a fabulous evening to celebrate my hubbys 60 th and the food and service were great we particularly liked the prawn starter and the rack of lamb we had fantastic service thank you for making the birthday celebration a special experience

Regular visitors to Grasmere but usually in winter months so this was the first time (Sept) we have been able to dine at Lewis's. The place is warm and welcoming as are the staff. Service was excellent. The menu caters for a wide range of preference and tastes. We are not 'foodies' and prefer tasty well cooked food. There were 2 or 3 different main courses that we could happily have chosen and several days later my wife is still talking about the tasty pesto sauce that came with the chicken. Prices are slightly high but that is reflective of the Lake District as a whole these days. Thank you for an excellent meal and we will certainly try to visit again.

Top notch, best restaurant in Grasmere by a country mile, good choice of dishes, excellent chef, great staff really enjoyed our meals here always made welcome.

First time in Lewis's - very tasty food and great friendly service - the rack of lamb was delicious and the cheeseboard was a great way to finish.

Husband and I enjoyed this small restaurant very much. The food was great and so was the relaxed atmosphere. The service was good too, friendly and professional - a bit slow at times but that didn't bother us as we weren't in a rush.

Great place. Unpretentious. Special. Friendly. Delicious food. And my Eccles cake with caramel sauce and ice cream dessert was yummy.

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Service was a bit slow, but they were very busy, and we had plenty of time for conversation. Recommended for a date or intimate gathering.

A new find for me, and one that I am thrilled to have made. A fantastic setting for a very good restaurant. Takes some finding (the local authority will not allow signage), but well worth it once you get there. Food was excellent, generous portions, and the menu allows many different foods to be enjoyed. I will be returning next time that I am in Langdale, and will be recommending to friends and family.

We dined early ay 1800hrs and were first to enter Lewis's Bistro. We received a warm welcome and shown to our reserved table. The food that we ordered was of excellent quality, superbly cooked by the chef and well presented at table. The low volume background music and the arrival of other diners soon created a comfortable dining experience. Unfortunately, we dined on the last evening of our holiday in Grasmere, otherwise we would have returned to sample other dishes on the menu. Highly recommended.

A wonderful dining experience in this cosy bistro. The menu offers a wide variety and is reasonably priced. The staff were both welcoming and efficient. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we immediately rebooked for later in the week. Making a reservation in advance is recommended as they were fully booked on both occasions we dined there.

Brilliant service, fantastic service, couldn’t recommend it enough

Dined early September on our wedding anniversary. The food was lovely and service was fine. Yes it is a small establishment but there was plenty of room and the atmosphere was great. We’ve already re booked. Looking forward to our evening.

Thought we stepped into someone’s living room but the food was great, I had the rack of lamb and my wife had seabass. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back next time visiting the lakes

Lovely venue, great food, quick service and very friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much we came back on our 2nd night and will certainly return in the future!
