Restaurant Review: Lewis’s Bistro – A Fantastic Dining Experience We recently had the pleasure of dining at Lewis’s Bistro, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the outstanding quality of the food. We ordered the Chicken Supreme and the Lamb, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, served with a rich, well-balanced sauce, while the lamb was beautifully prepared, full of depth and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us fully satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. Service was another standout aspect of our visit. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring we were well looked after throughout our meal. Food arrived promptly, and we appreciated the genuine warmth and professionalism of the team. The only small downside was being seated near the door, where it could get a little chilly when it opened. If possible, we’d recommend requesting a table further inside for a more comfortable experience. That said, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a fantastic meal. Overall, Lewis’s Bistro delivers excellent food, great portion sizes, and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience.

We had a fabulous meal on Saturday as a group of 6. Easy to book a table via the website and the service was excellent, and the food perfectly delicious. We all ordered different things off the menu and we all really enjoyed our meals from start to finish. Portions are decent in size so we all left full. Only disappointment was we didn’t have room left for desserts!

one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We both loved the friendly welcome and the cosy setting. The food was delightful - my sea bass was cooked to perfection and the accompanying veg were really good, not overly crunchy as appears to be the modern way. Just wish Grasmere was a bit closer - we'd be there once a week! Thank you - we've had quite a few mediocre meals recently and this was outstanding.

We had an excellent meal on Saturday evening. The food was excellent as was the service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit next time we are in Grasmere. Plus they are dog friendly.

We ate for the first time on Saturday 1st February while visiting Grasmere for a long weekend. We had a wonderful meal, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend you book a table and I would most definitely recommend it to my family and friends. When we visit the Lake District again we will definitely be returning. Thank you to all of the staff for your hospitality you gave us a wonderful evening.

Fantastic food. Delicious flavours and great presentation. We had the Ostrich steaks in plum sauce which was a real treat. Friendly staff too.

We ate here for the first time last week, and the food was amazing and well priced for the decent portion sizes. We had the Seabass and Chicken which were both delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient too. Unfortunately they had completely run out of their famous cheesecake due to closing the next day for the winter, but that just means we'll have to return!

Booked a table for 6 on Saturday 30/11/24 we was the only ones there. I was quite shocked because the food was the best in the village and so was the service a little gem of a place.Already booked for New Year’s Eve.John

We love Lewis's and keep coming back. Always have great food, in a lovely atmosphere. Well priced. Wine selection is good, and well priced too. Our last visit was for a girls catch up. We had a lovely evening thank you. Enjoy your well deserved holiday.

We went to Lewis’s for my husband’s birthday treat. We had never been before. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal . I had the stuffed chicken breast and my husband had the lamb. Both delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. Our only criticism - only an observation- was that the layout was a bit formal- a few plants and pictures would add more ambiance. Will definitely go back though.

Lovely evening from start to finish. Wonderful food, I had lamb which was just to die for and my wife had the fillet steak which was superb, and the dauphinoise potatoes were simply the best. Lovely ambience and service, very impressed and would highly recommend 10/10.
