This is a lovely quirky restaurant. The food was excellent, the ostrich fillet was a great success whilst my hot and sour chicken was beautiful. The service was great and there was a friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWithout doubt a highlight of our stay in the lakes. Great food, for once I would have been happy to have chosen any of the dishes on the menu. It was so appetising. Very well prepared and flavourful obviously by a talented chef. Excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant to all.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAn outstanding restaurant with food and staff to match. We booked here while visiting the Lakes for my wife’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Fine dining done exceptionally well. From start to finish, everything was flawless. The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish beautifully presented and full of flavour. The pork belly and Eccles cakes were superb, and the seabass was simply amazing. Every plate impressed. The staff were equally excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. We all agreed it was the nicest meal we’ve had out in quite some time. A truly memorable food experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others

After ordering then waiting over an hour for our food we were offered complimentary nibbles which were very nice, thank you. We both ordered the lamb rump but unfortunately when it did arrive it was tough and very disappointing, certainly not worth the money.

The first night I had steak and my wife had the salmon and the second night we both had the lamb, we could not fault any of them they were excellent. The desserts did not disappoint either the sticky toffee pudding and the Eccles cake were absolutely delicious. We shall not hesitate to return here next time we are in Grasmere. Thank you all.
