Had two excellent meals on our recent visit to Grasmere. Food, ambience and attention by the staff was very good. Will be back in 2025!

Absolutely Amazing... The quality of the good was 100%. Service was impeccable and you could feel the care and attention given you the business. We will definitely return.

Having been with family quite a while ago I recommended that friends & I would treat ourselves to a meal. The chicken they chose was overcooked however they were kindly offered an alternative meal that they chose to leave but were then offered a free dessert. The service was fine

Amazing food, service excellent

This was our third visit to Lewis’s and, if anything, the food was even better than we’d remembered from our previous visits (the last of which was a couple of years back). I had the fillet steak, my wife had pork belly. We also had some bread and olives to share for a starter. Can’t fault any of it; lovely food, friendly staff, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Decent value for money too, given the quality of the food. Will definitely be back next time we stay in beautiful Grasmere.

Lovely meal, pleasant and attentive staff. The fact that our table was wedged cheek by jowl between two others at the front of the room was a bit uncomfortable. We might as well all have been sitting at the same table! No chance for private conversation.

A delightful bistro with delicious food and friendly staff. And a real bonus - able to cater for coeliacs. Actually made eating out a pleasure. Book in plenty of time as seems very popular.

Very enjoyable evening at Lewis Bistro. Food very tasty particularly as red wine sauce on haddock gave me an excuse for drinking red wine with fish. Friendly and fast service.

Been here a couple of times and were in the Lakes for our 60th birthdays. Had an amazing meal and the staff are so friendly. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. We had French onion soup for starters and rack of lamb followed by cheese cake . Delicious x Thank you to all the staff we had such a lovely night xx

My partner and I had travelled to Grasmere to celebrate his 40th birthday, and chose to eat on the Saturday night of our stay at Lewis’ Bistro. We really couldn’t have chosen a better place! The staff were excellent and attentive, even treating my partner and I to a glass of champagne, as part of his birthday celebrations. The starters and main meals were delicious; all substantial portions, so much so that we didn’t have any room for dessert. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grasmere and will certainly return in future. Thank you to all staff for your hospitality.

Only negative was the toilet facilities were disappointing and the toilet didn’t flush. Otherwise lovely spot for a bite to eat. Staff very efficient,

Honestly one of the best meals we have had in the last few years. Food and service were amazing and definitely a 10/10 experience.

Really impressed - we had a lovely meal, food was excellent as was the service. The menu is fairly small but extremely well done. The restaurant is small and was fully booked but it still had a nice atmosphere and didn't feel too full or loud. I would love to go back - highly recommend.

A lovely atmosphere with amazing food and wine. The lamb and cheesecake were heavenly!!!! The staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. This was definitely a highlight of our holiday and we would recommend everyone to dine with them.

We both had 3 courses, absolutely delicious. Special mention for the cheesecake. Excellent service. A fair price given the quality of food and service. We will definitely book again
