Excellent service and delicious food and plus it was right next to our hotel. Would be top of my list next time we stay.

What can I say, it is a must to visit, we.went back twice during our stay, excellent.menu and great staff, very welcoming and dog.friendly even cooked.a.sausage for the dog, one of my.favourite restaurants in grasmere, thankyou.guys.xx

My husband & I dined here a few years back & throughly enjoyed it, so of course we re-booked during our stay in Grasmere. Again, we couldnt fault the food it was amazing & the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the rave going on in the kitchen was slightly distracting… didnt seem to deter the chef though so not sure if its a complaint or not?!

You aren't going to get better food anywhere. The pork belly is devine, excellent service from friendly staff. I don't need to say anything more.

We always come here for dinner one night when staying in Grasmere. Great food and choice of drinks with fantastic service. We shared a scallop and black pudding starter then I opted for the seabass as a main which was delicious and my hubby chose the pork, he said it was melt in the mouth tender and quite a large portion. We skipped dessert but had a Cheeseboard to share accompanied by a glass of port each. Cannot fault and can recommend.

Lovely bistro. Welcoming relaxed atmosphere from friendly, efficient staff serving absolutely delicious food. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit to this Bistro, I know we will be going again!

Magnificent food, so delicious and even my son Edward (age 4) said they were the best chicken nuggets he’d ever had and INSTISTED we return for dinner the next day… so we did. The food is outstanding. My mother and I had the lamb and the salmon the first night and then steaks the second night. The quality of produce can be tasted and the warm and friendly service is second to none. What a magnificent restaurant. Five stars from us and definitely from Edward! Thanks so much to Amanda and the team at Lewis’. We will be back!!

Very friendly welcome upon arrival. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Food was fine but sea bass overcooked, faint Tandoori taste and mushroom starter did lack garlic. Enjoyed the wine. Vegetables nicely cooked.

We had a lovely family meal on Friday 24th October. The atmosphere in the bistro is warm and welcoming and the staff are lovely. The food is great and many of us opted for the tandoori butter seabass for main course which didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone.

Very enjoyable evening. Excellent food and service. There was a large family group there the evening we were there which rather dominated the atmosphere for a while but that isn’t the fault of the restaurant.

We had a delicious meal on Saturday evening. It was very busy so would advise booking if you want to visit. The staff were lovely even though the restaurant was busy, they gave us servie with a smile.

Had a lovely evening meal at Lewis’ again. This is third time coming here. Me and my wife were celebrating our honeymoon, I’d asked for a romantic table, which they provided and also gave us a glass of champagne on the house. This was lovely of them. Food was once again, amazing and the staff were really friendly.

We came to the bistro for dinner on the last night of our holiday in Grasmere and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to the lakes. Thank you.
