Quality food and great service. First time we have been but it wont be the last.Pork belly followed by a fantastic bakewell tart.

We really enjoyed our experience at Lewis's. It was a busy evening, but the service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Our evening was over too quickly, we'll definitely pay this wonderful bistro another visit when we're next in Grasmere.

We absolutely love Lewis’s and eat here every time we visit the lakes. The food is amazing, as is the service. It’s a lovely little bistro with a great atmosphere. We would highly recommend visiting Lewis’s. It’s also great now they have the option to book online meaning we can plan our holiday meals in advance very easily.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Lewis’s last night. After the bad review seen elsewhere we wondered whether we would enjoy our experience ………we needn’t have had any concern whatsoever! From start to finish Amanda and her team looked after us very well. Great, imaginative menu, tasty food, good portions served very hot …..what’s not to like! When we asked for two spoons to share a rice pudding dessert……we got the biggest rice pudding you could imagine! Not sure why Lewis’s hasn’t been on our radar before, they have been open for six years….but we look forward to returning on our next visit to these parts in September. Lewis’s and the team deserve to do well. Thank you.

Booked online which worked very well. Bistro fully booked out and deserves to be. Food ambiance and service were all excellent. Everything is fresh cooked to order and our meal choices were all very tasty. Excellent wines by the glass. Staff and service was as it should be. Tables were well spaced for this crazy covid world and we felt safe and secure. Meal was not rushed nor was it too drawn out. Was a real treat. Would eat here regularly if I lived nearby.

We've been here many times before so decided to book again as it's so nice. The scallops were nice but overpowered by garlic the same with the soup, my fish was ok but my husbands belly pork came with the string still on, we've both had this dish many times but never presented with string on! The puddings were lovely and the young guy serving us was brilliant. All in all a very average meal that's usually high class.

Excellent bistro food, nice atmosphere. Smoked haddock omelette starter and Eccles cake dessert were the stars of the show for us. Good unfussy service.

My husband and I visited on the 9th of July , we had the most amazing meal. 1st course, stunning! Main meal , my husband had the slow roasted belly pork, amazing piece of meat, just falling apart. Staff were wonderful, really friendly. Definitely worth a visit!!!

The restaurant was lovely and the food was very good. All I’d the staff were incredibly friendly and, of course, all Covid rules were followed.

stayed in Grasmere for 5 nights this week on Tuesday we were trying to find somewhere to eat as very difficult to find anywhere unless you want to eat at 4.30 pm We enquired at Lewis's and although full owner informed us if we were able to order quickly we could sit outside to eat which we did.Food great and we also went on the Wednesday and Friday atmosphere is great as is the food which is all reasonably priced. Service is very good and friendly we were served by a nice young enthusiastic guy. Would recommend to anyone the steak was fantastic.

Beautiful modern and stylish cafe in the Heaton Cooper Art Studio. Great food and location in Grasmere with outside tables

Ate here the other night on my birthday with my Mother, Father and Boyfriend. None of us had eaten here before but my Mother wanted to for a while after hearing good things and we were not disappointed! Walking in, the restaurant is small but cosy and quirky decor, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made effort to talk and joke with us whilst waiting for our food. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We all decided to get different starters and mains to try each others, and we could not decide what was the best! All the meat was cooked to perfection and all the different flavours in our food were incredible. Even the dessert (there's always room) was fantastic, we will definitely be going again when we are next in the Lake District and spreading the word of this amazing little restaurant!
