I am new to the village and have eaten here a few times now both with the family and friends. Lovely staff and great food and always very well presented. Staff always make you feel very welcome.

We booked a table on the spur of the moment and very last minute. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, within 5 minutes our table was ready. We both ordered the roast dinner, and it was delicious. Plenty of flavour, cooked to perfection and very tasty. Clean plates all round and very full belly’s! The service was excellent. If you are looking for a tasty Sunday treat, I would not hesitate to recommend The Dukes Head.

Christmas late lunch/early dinner on Saturday 6th, 4 people. Excellent food and service, pub very Christmassy. Christmas menu good value

Had lunch on 3rd December - turkey (of course). Food was fabulous. Service slick and unobtrusive. Highly recommend.

We had a large party of 22 and we were looked after so well . The staff were lovely and so obliging. The turkey was very good but a couple of ladies did not enjoy the beef. Tough and full of sinew

Amazing food and service, our first visit here and certainly won’t be our last. Sunday roast was the best I’ve had. A really nice country vibe pub and restaurant. Perfect.

David and his staff have always been very helpful and friendly, the decor log burner and background music create a lovely atmosphere. Their menus are varied with quality food at reasonable prices, good selection of ales beer, wines also the Guinness is grand☘️

We are very fond of this place. It has a lovely atmosphere and yesterday's menu was varied and full of good choices. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our lunch choices. The fish pie on the specials menu , which I chose, was extremely good. However, there was demonstrably too much for the two servers to do. They were manning the bar, taking orders, waiting at table and making the coffee. With more staff in evidence, this would have been a perfect visit .

Amazing food and service

We had a table of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) at a 2pm weekday reservation. Unfortunately the pub was terribly understaffed and we waited 90 minutes until we got our food (40 mins waiting to get our order taken). The food was lovely - but by the time it came we were all starving, especially the children. We thought we’d order deserts but were then told the kitchen was closed when we finally finished our mains. Some warning might have helped as we could have ordered them sooner. Luckily the woman on the bar agreed to get some ice cream herself after I explained our situation. All in all, let down by the staffing and slow service.

Delicious food, stunning pub, wish it was my local! Already highly recommending it to friends!
