Greeted with a smile on arrival which set the tone for the evening , nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff all very knowledgeable about the dishes , and the food well what can i say every dish we ordered was on point , well presented and more importantly tasted divine the amount of different flavours in each dish was amazing , we had a variety of starters inc cactus leaves omg please try them , and then a variety of mains inc beef and soft crab all tasted amazing , we obv tried both puddings both delicous but the milk soaked sponge was our fav , on the way out managed to grab a few words with the owner who was very friendly and answered our questions politely even tho the place was rammed . Definately going back . Regarding pricing we thought it was great value for money .

I visited for brunch after finding on Instagram, the food was absolutely incredible. Already can't wait to visit again. 10/10.

Friendly service, nice ambience and the food was delicious - it was so hard to choose between the tacos and the ones we had were all great.

Desperate to try the rest of the menu, everything I’ve tried from the Brunch and evening menu so far has been incredible, cannot recommend enough, hands down one of the best eateries in Hull!

We booked a meal for valentine, Lovely friendly welcome Got seated straight away, We ask questions about menu, the young girl could answer us well, Food was quick and lovely Really enjoyed the food Owner was really involved that was nice to see, he chatted to us, You must try the corn bread it’s amazing we even took two home Must visit

Had a really good time. The food was good. However a bit disappointed as the website said 3 tacos for £12.5 now it's only two. Didn't get compensated for it just a sorry. But apart from that a good little place if a bit expensive for what it is. Would go again

Wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere and full of thoughtful touches. My (illiterate) 3yr old was given a menu and treated with the same respect as an adult which was just wonderful. I breastfed my infant son and nobody batted an eyelid. The food is fresh and you can taste the difference. It’s one of those rare places that works if you just cba to cook or if it’s a special occasion. From the decor to the menu everything has been so wonderfully thought through that you just want to keep returning and discovering more. A true gem in the Hull food scene.

We have visited twice within the space of two weeks as as soon as we began our meal on our first visit, we had already decided this is the best meal we’ve ever had in Hull. Our second visit confirmed it’s one of the best meals we’ve had - ever! Everything about Food For Cowboys is unbelievable and it’s officially now our favourite spot.

We went to Food for Cowboys last night as a family and honestly… wow. Best Mexican food I’ve had, ever. Every dish was packed with flavour, clearly made with care, and tasted genuinely authentic, nothing outside Mexico will come close. You can tell the people behind this place really know what they’re doing. The atmosphere deserves a special mention too. Relaxed, welcoming, and full of good energy. We had our one-year-old with us and they couldn’t have been more accommodating or kind, which made the whole evening feel easy and enjoyable rather than stressful. Great food, great vibes, and genuinely lovely people. If you’re in Hull and you like proper Mexican food, do yourself a favour and go. Places like this deserve to stick around.

Traveled from Tadcaster to Hull on Friday night to Sample some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. After first seeing the restaurant on only scrans I thought I best book a table asap. It didn’t disappoint I’ll be back again.

This was our first visit to the restaurant, I can’t believe we hadn’t found it before. The staff were really friendly and took time to explain the different dishes and made some great recommendations. The food was fantastic, it’s probably some of the tastiest food I have eaten in a long time. We didn’t have cocktails, but the ones that were being served up looked really good. We will definitely be back again to try some of the dishes we didn’t try last night.

I don’t go here often enough. Warm and friendly staff, great food and atmosphere.

Hull needs more restaurants like this! Very enjoyable experience from start to finish. I'll be visiting again very soon!

Have been wanting to go for ages because all our friends have told us we must visit. We finally managed to get a slot on a Friday night. We were a bit too excited so we arrived early but they let us sit down in the window for drinks until our table was ready. The drinks were amazing, I loved the spicy margarita. We struggled to pick our selections because everything sounded amazing so we got some Guacamole & chips whilst we were picking. When the food arrived, it all looked incredible. Our favourites were the guacamole, maple corn, chicken tinga tacos, birria & the fish tacos! Our server was amazing, really attentive & really personable. Can't wait to come back & try everything else.
