Booked for a Valentine's meal. We were gifted a long stem red rose as we were seated. The staff at the Rising Moon are amazing !!! Friendly & super helpful. The food is awesome - every mouthful delicious !!! You really don't want the meal to end !!! There was a guy playing back ground music on the guitar - created a lovely atmosphere Perfect ❤️

Lovely pub and I can honestly say we haven’t had a bad meal there. I had the lamb Henry last night and it was absolutely delicious with plenty of veg and mash to soak up the lovely mint gravy. The only thing I could fault is that there is nowhere to go and sit to just have a drink unless it is summer and you can sit outside . Such a lovely pub it would be nice to just go for a few drinks if you don’t fancy a meal. Saying that most pubs seem to be going the same route which you can’t blame them for really…

We had a lovely meal at the Rising Moon with first-class service. Easy to book, and accommodating to our every need (we were a bit late, but this didn't matter). Thank you very much.

Booked table for 4 on 10 Feb easily online and had confirmation and reminder email.Food and staff 10/10, good sizes portions ,we had specials menu which were lovely ,fish and chips and beef in pepper sauce for £9.50 per meal. Main gripe was that they hadn’t had a brewery delivery , so had no guiness or cider . Agree with previous review from Andy,wanted to leave a tip for the staff ,but couldn’t as payed by card and don’t carry cash .Will be back making sure the wife has her purse!

Starters were nice no issues. Service was good, one particular waitress was lovely. The food in general was nice, all apart from one meal, the cheese pie was stone cold in the middle I think this was because the lie was so big and had big been heated up fur long enough I was offered a fresh one which was fine, second one came and that too was not hot in the middle it was slightly warmer than the first but still not hot but even very warm. I was then offered something else or too reward that plate, by this point everyone else had eaten their food pretty much. I just had it rewarmed as I wasn’t particularly bothered by this point! Now I do think they should of knocked that meal off the bill and I didn’t say anything at the time because the staff were really nice but going forward I think it would of been nice of them to do that.

As usual the meal was brilliant tasty and hot, the service was excellent no problems at all would highly recommend.

Easy to book a table online, staff were friendly & got our order/food quickly. Food was really nice & portions were big (two of our party got doggy bags). Will be coming back 5/5.

We booked a table for 6.30pm and was sat down straight away. We’ve eaten here a few times and always had a warm welcome when we’ve been. The staff on shift last night were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was lovely in fact the portions were so generous we had to ask if we could box part of one meal up so we could share the other and they were great about it and boxed it up for us. Would highly recommend the rising moon

We dined at the Rising Moon on Friday 3rd Feb and it was a lovely experience, the pub itself has a lovely, friendly atmosphere, all the Servers and Bar Staff were extremely, friendly, polite and professional, the food was amazing, fresh, piping hot and extremely tasty, we will definitely be making the Rising Moon one of our regular eateries

Visited the Rising Moon for the first time on Wednesday. Have been reccomended to come here a couple of times previous. Can safely say the food was lovely! Very fresh and could tell the lasagna was homeade. My only gripe is that I ordered a side salad as the side for a kids meal. Maybe it's me but as it was listed as a side on the kids menu, I would normally expect it would simply be lettuce, cucumber & tomatoes etc but instead it arrived with what looked like rocket, with bits of red onion and a vinagarette. I can understand that they have essentially provided a small version of the adults salad but personally it doesn't seem appropriate and my little one wouldn't touch any of the veggies because of it. Also the veg sticks are very thin almost like scraps rather than a chunky stick of veg as you'd expect for a child. Besides from this, which I suppose is all down to personal perspective, the food was fantastic, the place itself is lovely and atmospheric and the manager (tall dark haired young lad) who was running around was extremely politely and friendly to little one especially, even though they were having to deal with the waggon & horses kitchen being out of order so had more people to seat and bigger wait times. Will definitely be back! :)

Visited for lunch, not my first time and wont be my last, absolutely best place for proper gastro pub grub around Hyde, if not Tameside. Yesterday was amazing as always, had lamb henry and the wife had braised steak with onion gravy, we both left suitably stuffed and very happy. Only gripe was I wanted to add a tip to my bill, but couldn't add it to card payment and very rarely carry cash!

Lovely restaurant and good parking. Friendly , professional staff and delicious food! Excellent!

Lovely dog friendly pub, food and service was excellent, will definitely be returning.
