Our family of 5 adults came for a meal yesterday, Thursday 18th May. We each ordered 2 courses and the first course took about 45 minutes to arrive. The prawn cocktail was very short on prawns and the duck spring rolls was also very sparse - just 4 small rolls with a very small amount of sauce. As the starters cost approx £7 - £8 each, I considered this to be very expensive. The main courses were more acceptable and the food was tasty. If I was to visit again, I would definitely miss the starters and just have a main course. There was quite a wait for the main courses also, that is why I’ve given a low score on service.

First time visit on Tuesday but without a doubt will not be the last. Food really good but the friendly staff make it. Make sure you are really hungry!! Portion sizes are very very generous

A very pleasant pub restaurant. The menu provided plenty of choice. The food was excellent and the service ( Adele and Adam) was prompt and very friendly. Competitively priced .We enjoyed the evening and will return soon.

Food was nice, restaurant was clean Service was poor - took 40 minutes for someone to come and take drinks order despite going up to ask after 20 minutes and being told somebody would be over. Starters were slow however mains came out after quicker

Lovely pub in nice location, good varied menu including a ‘specials’ menu. Service was very good, enjoyed our lunch off the ‘specials menu. Pub was busy so would recommend booking.

The food , the service and the location make this the best pub in Manchester. The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic . Don’t ever change

The food at the Rising Moon is consistently of good quality. The menu has ample choices for all tastes. Staff are pleasant and service is very good.

Good atmosphere and nice and clean. Lovely food , good portion sizes. Downside is the service we had to ask to order ask for drinks ask for desert menu ask for the bill. It became a bit annoying, very young staff just left to run the front of house. It needs an experienced eye to run the restaurant as the staff are not attentive to guests.

Great value meal. Huge portions. Well presented and really tasty. Lovely decor and welcoming ambience.

Nice setting food, service, cost all average

Waited 20 mins for a table despite booking. Clearly some dispute between the staff as when we asked when the table would be ready was told "sorry, she should have sat you down but she's still talking". No menus when we did sit down. Chicken was undercooked but as the person serving us didn't come back didn't have chance to say anything. Waited another 20 mins for empty plates to be collected but no one came so left the table. Asked for the bill and the lady behind the bar asked same person to help her an was ignored. Awful experience
