The staff are local and the food was amazing my other half had the Red Devil Burger with chunky chips and it looked amazing, the burger patty was homemade and really juicy, I had the Rag pudding, chip, mushy peas and gravy, it was like eating my grans cooking again. Will be visiting again

The Rising Moon – HydeThis is my favourite place in Tameside to go for lunch. I visited recently and had the soup (chicken and roast potato) and a sandwich (tuna mayo) and it was delicious! The service was very quick and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The Rising Moon – HydeI hate to be that person that complains but this place really let themselves down on the bank holiday Monday. We've been before and it's been lovely with great food, but we had to wait too long for the main when we had a 9 month old as part of the party that after 2 hours was understandably restless and hungry. When we did then finally get our main meal, one meal got sent back as it was overcooked and numerous others only half ate theirs as it wasn't great. The day after, at least 4 felt sick and at worst had mild food poisoning. They did give us the meal we sent back free, but unfortunately we can't risk visiting here again if it means people are at risk of falling ill depending on whether the staff have shown up.
