The food was unbelievable, the steak pie is my favourite! I cannot fault the meal at all, although my starter never arrived, it was a blessing in disguise. The most awful part to be honest was the forgotten gift my mother in law to be got us, me and my partner had got engaged that morning. The Pheasant being normally one of our favourite places to eat. She had paid on for a bottle of champagne and some congratulations stuff as a surprise for us, which was not on our table upon arrival. After eating our meal and leaving we got a text to ask if we enjoyed our surprise, she was completely devastated. It was blamed on being busy - which I have seen it a lot busier. I am not sure on whether I will be returning again, knowing you could forget something on such a special occasion.

Excellent service, excellent price and lovely homemade food. Vegetarian dishes were also excellent.

We had a wonderful meal it was served hot and very tasty. Service was very good pleasant friendly staff. The only thing that spoiled the night was a female customer that had a very loud laugh and we could not hear each other, this had nothing to do with the restaurant

Our 2nd visit and an Absolutely fabulous meal with my wife.the chicken,bacon and leek pie was to die for.the chips were amazing as well.the lady who served us was very engaging as well.couldnt fault any of it

Absolutely sensational meal! The Pheasant Inn is a hidden gem in the crown of Keswick. Picking a main meal was a challenge as every item on the menu sounded incredible. We both went with the Venison Bourginion, the best cooked venison I have ever tasted. The Pheasant Inn is my new go to place locally.

Booked for my birthday whilst staying in Keswick for the week. Brilliant food and staff. Really enjoyed our visit and will be booking again when we are back for Christmas!

Just spent a lovely weekend in Keswick, we actually had dinner on both evenings at the Pheasant. I would definitely recommend this place, great food, nice atmosphere. Good size portions, really nice traditional pub with lovely staff. We will definitely be back.

Food was very good with a wide selection of dishes available. Had eaten at three other pubs and this was the best. Very popular so you need to book. Will eat here again next time I am in Keswick.

What a gem of a place. We decided on going to the Pheasant as we hadn’t been since before covid and are now wishing we had gone sooner. We had a very warm welcome on entering, there was a good choice of ales and wine. The menu is different from your usual pub grub and the quality of the food was more restaurant standard than pub food. We had the venison and lamb which were cooked to perfection, the meat was melt in the mouth. The veg were served separately and were so fresh, not your usual warmed up microwave veg that you get in most pubs. The deserts were delicious we had a lemon posset and apple crumble, both were delicious, the crumble came with a good serving of custard, my husband usually moans about the lack of custard, but not this time!! All the staff were wonderful, very attentive and they really made us feel that our custom was important to them. It’s our number one place to go now and only wish we had visited sooner

The quality of the food is always excellent at the Pheasant and yesterday wasn’t any exception. The chicken bacon and leek pie is an excellent choice as was the the chicken stew I had off the specials board. It is a very cosy, traditional bar with a great focus on quality food.
