Come to Keswick a couple of times a year. Found the Pheasant Inn a couple of years ago and i believe it serves the best food in Keswick. I have eaten in most places in Keswick but not many can compare with the quality of food and drink. It has a great atmosphere and the service is excellent. Will definitely be back when back down in January for my birthday. The food is also great value for money compared to other eateries in the town. It's a popular place and worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment. It has an old charm feel and homely.

Had booked in advance, dined early evening, 22/11/24 food was exceptional, great selection of drinks, made to feel welcome. Only slight niggle was that it was a little cold in the dining room. Would definitely eat there again when in the area.

Had a lovely meal at The Pheasant on Tuesday evening. (19th nov)were very friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. Venison bourginion and steak pie were really tasty. Good selection of drinks on offer. Would recommend you book as it was busy at 6.15pm. Best place for food in Keswick and just a short walk from the centre. We had a lovely evening at the Pheasant - we were made to feel very welcome and warm on a particularly cold evening! The food and service were both great and special mention goes to the Lakeland Beef Pie. All in all a lovely evening in a proper independent pub. Thanks for a lovely evening all.

Confusion as no record of our booking even though I had confirmation email. We had to ask if we could place our order as we were overlooked. Then came a bit of a wait for food but they were busy. Staff pleasant but no-one came to check everything was ok with our food.

Lovely meal with my wife to celebrate my birthday. The food and atmosphere were excellent and we will come again when in the area again. Make sure to book as it was full at 6.30 pm on a Monday!!

Excellent meal, good friendly service

4 of us went for Sunday lunch very warm welcome great atmosphere real fire good selection of beers and wine. The Sunday dinner was massive we had beef loads of it cooked perfectly and chicken again delicious. Yorkshires massive and tasty everything on plate was full of flavour all fresh veg highly recommended. Best Sunday lunch we've had in Keswick. Cost very reasonable they do small dinner for over 65 and under 12 small dinners not small at all.

We enjoyed a lovely evening at the Pheasant Inn, Keswick on Saturday 16 Nov. The pub had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and we were well looked after. The food was excellent and there was a good variety of choice. The staff were great and our food arrived quickly and well presented. We will definitely go back.

The Pheasant Inn never fails. As always, the food was fab (venison for two of us as a change to the lamb, plus steak and ale pie), service with a smile and a bit of banter. Wonderful ambience. Thank you

Best pub food in Keswick without a doubt. It is a little way out at Crosthwaite , but walkable from Keswick centre or down through Fitz park. Recommend booking.

What a lovely meal. The pheasant was excellent as was the lamb. A lovely (winter) pub with fires , good beer and a friendly atmosphere. We’ve eaten twice in two nights and would thoroughly recommend.

What a wonderful place. The ambience and environment is just so lovely and the food is excellent. The Duck, Lamb, deserts are just delicious. Staff are very welcoming.
