This is about the 5th time I have eaten here, in the last 4 years. Every time the food is absolutely first class. Not your normal pub chain stuff, clearly homemade and a really nice menu. Throw in great drink selection, friendly locals, great atmosphere and great staff. Oh and dog friendly with a real fire. My favourite pub in the Lake District.

We have been visiting The Pheasant for many years on our trips to Keswick. The atmosphere is great and the staff very friendly. The food was excellent, especially the pheasant! Wine was very good too.

Very good meal in a pleasant setting with friendly, helpful staff. The beef curry was rather hotter (spicier) than expected but the lamb rump was cooked to perfection.

Good food attentive staff makes for a great experience.

Sunday lunch was the best I have ever had. Service was excellent too A little expensive but its a major tourist area.

We had a lovely meal. The Pheasant is a favourite of ours when we are visiting Keswick. The food and the service is always excellent.

Excellent pub grub, with a varied menu. The young barman could not of been more helpful and attentive. Give it a go.

We return to The Pheasant every time we are in the Lakes. The pub has real character, the staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is the best! We can’t recommend it highly enough. We just wish White Bait was on the menu every night not just as a special, we miss it!

Visited here with family as we do every year when we visit Keswick. Great food,especially the beef pie and the service Is really good if you get the right person,and we did although she knocked a drink over on our table but sorted the issue out quickly and it didn’t affect our night.The only thing that annoyed was when the gentleman bought the bill over he asked if we were going to leave a tip,so as he obviously expected one we didn’t leave one,but we would return again in a heartbeat 10/10 FOOD 8/10 SERVICE

I love it here. I always book a table when I am in the Lakes and the beef pie is my go to. Never disappoints.

Despite being very busy the food was delicious and the service good. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.

We always enjoy our visit to The Pheasant though tonight was a bit mixed. Food( quality and volume) and drink were up to the usual good standard Always a difficult one to judge for those serving, but service was a bit hit and miss - we were ushered to our table upon entering and then it was 15 minutes before anybody came to speak to us, surprisingly, to ask if we’re were ready to order, rather than ‘ would we like a drink’? Further, immediately after our meal, completed at 21.00, our bill arrived. It seemed as if some of the staff were in a rush to get home or on to a night out. Our only other comment would be that the decor is looking a bit tired - chipped table mats, damaged walls, pictures showing local images in dated frames, etc. If the place were mine I would be looking to keep the character, but upgrade one room every year or so. Easy said given the volume of customers and I appreciate there is a financial balance to be considered.

We had another lovely meal at the Pheasant pub, one of the many we have had over many years. No doubt we will have many more.

We had 2 very enjoyable meals while on holiday in Keswick. The menu had a good choice and the food was very well prepared, good size portions. Staff were very attentive and friendly. You do need to book which we did online.

Second visit to The Pheasant and we were not disappointed. Lovely delicious food, all four of us really enjoyed it. Nice cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. We will be back

Delicious food in a cosy pub. Fast service, super friendly staff and has dog friendly areas. Love it and will be back!

Very enjoyable ealy evening meal in relaxing atmosphere. Good quality food both starter and main course. Didnt have dessert as nothing I fancied. Good service with pleasant attentive staff. Would certainly dine there again.
