I was staying in Applethwaite all last week, enjoying beautiful walks and climbs each day and decided that for three consecutive evenings, I would dine at the Pheasant Inn. It was my first time eating there and I was not disappointed in any way. The food was brilliant...staff very friendly, helpful and attentive.....and my three visits made the perfect end to my days of fell walking. Each meal I tried off the menu I would happily order again and although I didn't have enough room left after my main for a dessert, a cheeky glance at the puddings heading out to other customers confirmed that these were of a really high standard too. So thank you Pheasant Inn and I hope to dine with you again when I visit Keswick next time. Very memorable for all the right reasons....would highly recommend a visit!

Was a shame the Venison Burbrigon was unavailable as that was something I had seen on the online menu and was looking forward to. However,what we eventually had was excellent as was the service. This is an excellent pub and is thoroughly recommended.

I dined here for 3 nights in a row and found it to be an absolute, culinary delight. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The food was outstanding in every aspect, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere and ambience was so relaxing. I will definitely want to visit again when in Keswick.

We've been going to the Pheasant Inn everytime we come to the Lake District - food, drinks and friendly staff are second to none - thoroughly recommended. :-)

Not or first fantastic meal here and it won't be out last. Superb food, great service, great atmosphere and all on all just a lovely evening meal.

A fantastic meal - the food was outstanding and was complimented by fine service and nice drinks - wonderful. And we could book a table for the time we wanted. Our meal out was a great experience and we would highly recommend the pheasant Inn

Food was excellent. Good size portions and wonderfully cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. Can't recommend enough.

Nice meal and good atmosphere. However we got there 15 mins early to have a drink at the bar... was told that our tabel was ready.. I said I like to have a drink at the bar first if possible. Was told by the lady it's easier to take drinks straight to the table.. she was a bit off to be honest... then proceeded to ask my 21 year old son for ID. Which is fine.. I get the risk around their drink liscense.. So we were sat at the table with our mood a bit dampened. The staff from there on in were very good.. just a shame about the start.... first impressions count and she was quite abrupt and stressy...

We visited for Sunday Lunch. Both having the beef. I can throughly recommend this. Enormous Yorkshire, plenty of meat . Roast and mash potatoes.Carrot and turnip mash. Broccoli roast carrot and sweet. Friendly efficient staff. We will be returning .

Booked as family had previously eaten here. Both the starters and the mains were lovely. The only issue was one of our group ordered the lamb rump but received the lamb henry. Not a huge issue, we didn't even mention it to them and it was beautifully cooked. Will definitely eat here again when we next visit. The staff were very helpful and polite. The bar area is very small so difficult to get a sit if you arrive too early for your meal. Not too much of an issue for us as we took our drinks outside but not always an option if the weather isn't being kind.

Ohhhh my gosh, what can I say about the pheasent, other than wow,wow, wow, we come every visit we do to the lakes,never disappoints, service outstanding, food exceptional, yes you might have to wait a while, we'll worth the wait ,what an absolute hidden gem ,thanks for helping me surprise my now fiance ,what an amazing team ,thank you

Outstanding food and drink!! Loved the comfortable atmosphere and great service from the staff. My wife loved the Risotto and I had the ribeye steak. Desserts were excellent.

Been coming to Keswick for years but only just found this pub and what a find. I can say that the food and service are the best in Keswick, it's our new favorite. it's a short walk from the center but well worth it. we will definitely be back, the menu has many options that I will be back to try. mid week but was still packed, even so everything was spot on due to very good staff, please don't change a thing and see you next time thanks.

Lovely place (we have been coming here for many years) enjoyed the food will be back next time we are in Keswick. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Really good food in the pheasant inn, this visit was lunchtime and decided to try the fish pie it was amazing full of flavour with salmon white fish , prawns and mussels served with peas and carrots would certainly recommend it

Whenever we go to Keswick we always book The Pheassnt and have never been disappointed. Lovely pub with welcoming staff and great food. You won't get better food anywhere else in Keswick.
