Food was delicious, love the variety on the menu and locally sources produce. Service was good considering how busy it was. Love coming here when we visit Keswick and wi be back again next year!

Had a fabulous meal here. The bar staff were lovely and there was water available for our dogs. The meal was top quality and the portion of lamb my Mum had was enormous. I had the duck which was great. Waiting staff friendly, especially Dan. Great night out!

Very busy which wasn’t a problem as handled well and professionally. Food was excellent and our whole party loved what they ordered. Drinks were also excellent.

We spotted that there were a lot of cars outside The Pheasant a few days earlier so took the chance to book. I can see why it is so popular. Excellent home cooked local food and exemplary service.

Went here for a birthday meal, service was not good. We waited 25 minutes to even order our food and then didn’t receive our mains for another hour. We then had to wait ages for our bill to be given to us, at which point we had to go up to the bar ourselves, which would have been fine if we weren’t told to wait and our waiter would bring us it. Food was okay, my boyfriend enjoyed his pheasant, but the Cumberland sausage was overcooked. Disappointed as this place was highly recommended to us.

Had Sunday lunch at the Pheasant Inn, Keswick and wow it was lovely. Great atmosphere and great food.

We enjoyed our dinner meal at Pheasant Inn. The food was very good. The service was slow but the manager apologized and explained that they were training new servers. We enjoyed conversation with another couple at an adjacent table. We had a pleasant evening at the pub.

Brilliant roast, wonderful service. Really enjoyed how welcoming the pub was to us and our dogs, thanks again.

We booked to come on Saturday evening, table of 4. As soon as we walked in, the pub just felt gorgeous, homely, cosy and lovely. Staff could not be anymore attentive. I had the Venison which was to die for. Everyone else’s dinner was amazing too. Absolute 10/10 and will be back without a doubt.

Dined on Monday7th October 2024, my third time at the Pheasant. Foo as always superb value , varied menu to include all tastes and restrictions. Service was exceptional, attentive yet not imposing and the food arrived in perfect time. Always a generous portion and the extra vegetables cooked to perfection

Had a most enjoyable meal whilst on holiday in Thornthwaite in early October. I had prawn and smoked salmon, with a horseradish sauce. A very fresh and clean taste with a nice tang from the sauce. I had the pheasant and black pudding main course and my partner the scampi. Pheasant was particularly impressive - very unctuous. Followed by a shared lemon posset. They were aksos erving an excellent guest beer - appropriately the Pheasant golden ale from a Warrington brewery.

A delicious Sunday Lunch, despite having to wait over 45 minutes for our food. To be fair, one of the team did come to see us after half an hour to explain the problem in the kitchen.

When we stay in Keswick we always like to eat at least once at the Pheasant. This time we enjoyed Sunday lunch yesterday. As usual, the meal didn’t disappoint. The portions were hearty, tasty and the service was spot on. Thank you and here’s to the next time!

Our holiday to the lakes wouldn't be the same without a couple of visits to this outstanding place,food excellent has always,service outstanding, staff always run of their feet but always have time for you ,a must visit

Wonderful pub with great service and lovely food. Price was reasonable for proper home cooked food. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

Food was tasty, and you get a lot for your money. Possibly the best onion rings ever. Drinks were good value too.
