Lovely lunch for two. Certainly would recommend and will return.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is a historic market town located on the border between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on the River Lune. Famous for it's Devils Bridge - a regular meeting place for motorcyclists and it's Victorian Fair held every September. There are many dining options including pubs, tearooms and hotels.
Lovely lunch for two. Certainly would recommend and will return.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe recently had a lovely evening at the Lunesdale. We were greeted with a lovely smile as we ordered our drinks. The pub had been recently refurbished and looked lovely. The toilets are spotless and smelt very fresh. The staff were very friendly and nothing was any bother. I found it difficult to choose from the menu as everything sounded delicious. Thank to all for making our wedding anniversary feel very special.x
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFantastic food and a great menu choice. The portion sizes are large to, so make sure that you're hungry! Service is excellent by the lovely staff. We'll definately be back next month.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe ate here for the first time on Sunday after a friend recommended it. We opted for a late lunch and ordinarily I probably would have choose the Sunday roast but wanted to try 3 courses and I knew I would struggle to do that with roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Opted for Hamhick terrine, crispy beef salad and creme bullet. It was by far the best food we have eaten out locally in a long time. Excellent. The service was great and the surroundings very comfortable. We will definitely return soon and would recommend highly.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe raved about you to our friends and took them on Sunday but we were so disappointed with the service, one of the girls was very rude when serving us. We sat with empty glasses, you could have sold us at least another 3 drinks. It was very quiet and there was plenty of staff, if it had been busy, I could understand but it wasn’t. The food was absolutely gorgeous, could not fault it, credit to the kitchen staff.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleGood and plentiful food, great service from all staff in the restaurant . Pudding was fantastic. Definitely go again.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleHad a lovely meal for our wedding anniversary with friends. Service excellent. Thank you to your team.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAbsolutely superb as usual. Went on a Thursday night, only 2 staff on but the service was brilliant. Food superb as always
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleI ate Sunday lunch at the Lunesdale Arms with a friend and despite it being very busy due to being Mother’s Day, I was delighted that the food and service were just as good as usual and the prices the same. We were also given a small gift bag when we left which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleMet friends for lunch. Food was very nice and hot, would definitely recommend the cheese and onion pie the nicest I’ve ever eaten. A pleasant dining experience, although the room felt chilly on arrival. Service very friendly and prompt.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe really enjoyed our Sunday roast lunch. The room was modern, comfortable, nicely decorated, the service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicous
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFabulous food and sevice
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleHad a very pleasant Sunday Lunch at the Lunesdale Arms. I always enjoy going there and although it had been a while since my last visit, I was pleased to discover that it is as good as ever. I have already booked a return visit.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food, 2 mixed grills 2 burgers all cooked perfectly, large portions plenty on the plates which is a pleasant surprise!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFantastic meal and friendly service. We had the Tempura Prawns to start which were really nice, followed by Tuscan Chicken with Butter Beans and the Roast Beef, both dishes cooked to perfection, very tasty. The decor is top notch, modern and classy, with a lovely warm atmosphere and great staff. Will definitely visit again.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleNice place and atmosphere. It was fairly busy when we dined, but a tad cold. Most of the food was good. The fish pie was supposed to be in a ‘creamy veloute’, unfortunately it was dry under the mashed potatoes. There was plenty of fish and the taste was good. The only zero lager was Peroni which was acceptable, but l would have preferred a choice. Why not do half portions!? I do not like to be over faced. I couldn’t have eaten the roast dinner as too big.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleNot the best meal in the 20 plus years of supporting this place. Soufflés starter was excellent, but the main course ( brisket with pancetta in a suet crust) was uninspired, lacking flavour and veg ditto. The portion (and my wife’s different choice ) were huge. Much too big. Reduce the portions please and bring back the flavour. Service attentive and friendly, and wine prices very reasonable.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAbsolutely beautiful meal to celebrate a special occasion. Service was suberb, friendly staff members and very attentive. Beautiful decor and ambience to match. Thankyou.
