I would highly recommend The Lunesdale Arms. We had a group of 10 for a celebration. We had to pre book our food but that was no problem and the menu was varied and extensive. Everyone enjoyed the menu choices. The communication between staff and myself was done via phone and email and very easily done. Plenty of parking front and back. Lovely village location. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Meal absolutely brilliant. Starters of Spanish hash, chefs scotch egg, mussels, calamari and broccoli temporal where complemented and devoured. Mains were also wonderful. The mixed grills were huge but in our family there are some comparable appetites so the food was eaten. One person couldn't manage all their chicken kebab but staff boxed it to take home. All the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the meal. Drinks were served throughout the meal and water replaced. We went on a Wednesday night and there were other dinners but the atmosphere was nice and not noisey so the conversations around the table were flowing and could be heard. If we were in the area again, we would definitely go again. We were all on a weeks holiday.

Another wonderful Sunday lunch. The lamb was amazing and the veggie options delicious too (eg the veggie parcel). The staff handled with great diplomacy an extremely demanding and unpleasant woman who wanted the table that had been prepared for us. The waiter apologetically asked us to move which we happily did, to an equally good table and area, and quietly gave us a complementary drink and desert. Impressive. Personally I'd have thrown that party out of the place. Who needs people like that? But the staff at the Lunesdale Arms are far more professional than me...

We had a fabulous family meal out at Lunesdale Arms. All the food was fab and large portions. The young team of staff were lovely and gave great service. Definitely a restaurant which invites return visits.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic pub with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food. The portions are generous and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The pies and fish dishes are especially worth trying. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place feels welcoming and relaxed. Great selection of drinks too. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area — we’ll be back! The pub is highly rated by visitors for its food quality, generous portions, welcoming service, and cosy atmosphere. Many reviews specifically praise the pies, Sunday lunches, and dog-friendly environment.

Food absolutely delicious. Could not fault any of the courses. Dined with friends and apparently the best rib eye steak she's ever had. The fillet steak tagliata was to die for. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Overall an excellent experience with fantastic food and service. Will definitely return.

Very pleasant seating, (round tables) the food was delicious, Tuscan chicken, the lamb. and two different salads were all much appreciated and deserts enjoyed.

Amazing food and lovely service. We hadn’t been for ages but we’ll definitely be back soon. I had the roast beef and my veggie wife had the cheese pie. Both were completely delicious, copious and reasonably priced. The cheese pie wasn’t stuffed with potato as they so often are. Just cheese and onion. There is a dog-friendly area which is a lovely spot with a restaurant- ( not bar) feel. Boo the dog enjoyed herself too. Thanks to everyone there.

Booked a rare Sunday lunch for two after hearing rave reviews. Sadly, our experience wasn't up to standard. After being shown to our table, we had to wait over 10 minutes before being offered a drink. We were told that the roast beef was no longer available (although there was an hour & a half to go before the food service ended). The kitchen managed to produce one beef after all & my husband had the pork. We agreed that both our dishes were of average quality & certainly nothing special. Both dishes were spoilt by too thick & unpleasant gravy/sauce. Disappointing all round I'm afraid.

By far the best dining experience we have had for a long time . Stunningly beautiful interior - a modern and arty decor in a lovely old country inn . Comfy chairs and tables that give you plenty of room. we particularly liked the clear Perspex dividing screens between tables that gave us privacy and kept the noise down . We were two veggies , a pescatarian and a fussy meat eater but we all really enjoyed our dishes - great good , fresh , home cooked - portions just right . The young waiters and waitresses were fantastic , friendly , helpful , enthusiastic, efficient . We would definitely come again .
