Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe dined on a Friday night as a group of five. We brought along our neighbours, who hadn't been to the Lunesdale for a number of years, but were keen to try after our recommendation. As usual, the food and service were excellent, and everyone went away very happy.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAs usual fantastic Sunday Lunch couldn't fault our visit at all. We'll done again, just love the food and friendly lovely staff.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleI had Sunday dinner at The Lunesdale Arms yesterday and it was fantastic. I’ve visited before and always enjoyed it, but this was honestly the best Sunday dinner I’ve had for a long time. The food was beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and felt like a proper quality roast. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the setting is really tastefully done, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I’d highly recommend The Lunesdale Arms to anyone looking for a great evening out.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food with great service. Restaurant is brite and warm with a good atmosphere.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleGorgeous Sunday roast, I had the roast chicken and my husband had the lamb. Best Sunday lunch we've had, great service, great atmosphere and will definitley be back
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFirst time visit and definitely won’t be going back. Very disappointed. Booked a family birthday treat, 6 of us for Sunday lunch. The service was terrible. They took our drinks order but it was an hour before they eventually took our food order, a lady came to apologise they hadn’t taken it yet as they were just waiting to get a big order out. The Sunday lunch when it did arrive, was lukewarm warm and very average. We asked for some sauces and they also didn’t arrive until we asked for them again, meaning our food was cold by that time. The place wasn’t even busy. The area they say is in had good all over the floor and wasn’t cleaned up until we were eating our meal. So disappointed as we are local and I’ve always wanted to go but never been. Won’t return, very over rated.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleReturn visit and once again faultless. Food excellent, service wonderful, surroundings , atmosphere and comfort great.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAbsolutely fabulous! My sister and I took our mum here for her 90th birthday lunch. We all chose different meals and all were superb. Large portions so we had trouble clearing our plates but we all gave it a very good go! The 2 young ladies running the bar and serving the meals were very friendly and really efficient and polite. Lovely ambience in the dining room and we were not crowded or rushed. Would definitely recommend the Lunesdale Arms and will certainly be back to try some other items on the exciting menu.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food, staff are so friendly. Lovely ambiance. Great place to eat!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWhat a fantastic meal for all of us compliments to the chief. May I also compliment the bar and restaurant staff for their professional but friendly approach made to feel very welcome. Loved the decor and ambience. We will definitely be back. I had the mussels but think the chunks of Chorizo could have been a lot smaller for a such a delicate dish such a waste to leave a lot because they were to big it was to much, but still absolutely delicious. Thank you again
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleGorgeous food, excellent service and great value for money.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe booked a table for 6, and as there was no room left in the main restaurant, we opted for a table in the gallery. We got drinks and were left to look at the menu. It was 40 minutes before somebody came to take our orders, after we had to let them know we were ready. I think we had been forgotten as we were the only table up there , even though it wasn’t that busy in the main restaurant. 5 of us ordered starters, which were the usual brilliant standard. Unfortunately, one of the mains, the fish pie, was far from edible. The fish was tough, there was no lovely creamy sauce of any kind in it, and the potato topping was lumpy. It was disappointing , and not eaten. This was ordered by the only person to not have a starter, and they were left starving. After complaining, we did not have to pay for that one meal. All in all, not a brilliant night, which is a shame, as it has been one of our go to restaurants for a while
