Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleThe nicest meal out we’ve had in a while. Everything was beautifully cooked , service spot on and the restaurant is lovely as there is plenty of space , perfect volume of music and lighting . The restaurant is very reasonably priced for such high quality food. We had a lovely evening - thankyou
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleThe staff were very friendly and obliging. The food was delicious, well presented and plentiful. Will definitely be returning.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleBooked for lunch with two of our oldest friends. We arrived early and ordered drinks before being seated at our table , Our friends in their wisdom were late but we had already looked at the menus and and picked our main course. The food was delicious and my wife and I both had the fish pie which was outstanding. The service was excellent and the both of the young ladies serving us were very professional and very personable . We were all impressed with the mael and service and we will be returning in the near future
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleService absolutely perfect, very friendly and accomodating staff. Food superb, prepared to a high standard and delicious. Great portions, wonderful warm atmosphere and such a great place to visit, be it for a meal or a pint. Will be certainly returning when back in the area.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe were met by lovely staff who showed us to our table for two. The staff were very attentive but not too attentive. We both had a two course meal and the food was beautiful. Presentation was excellent and the food was delicious. There was a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed our evening.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWonderful birthday lunch yesterday . The Lunesdsle Arms is a favourite of ours and it didn’t fail to live up to expectations yesterday. Food, service and ambience was excellent . We all opted for main course roast , 2 of us had enough room left for a dessert. All very tasty and well presented .
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleMy wife and I were booked for the 5.00pm slot on the evening service, when were taken to our table one of the two chairs was wet from a leak in the roof of the room, we were given another table whilst the staff cleaned up the water on the floor and placed a bucket under the leak. The staff were very friendly and obliging, we ordered our starter meal which was a delightful start to the dining, however when our main meal arrived whilst looking every much as good, it was braised lamb which on eating was lacking in flavour and quite dry, the mash was very wet and quite tasteless, the highlight of the dish was the chargrilled courgettes for flavour. This was our second visit to the restaurant after a great first time experience, but sadly this will be our last, very disappointing.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely meal, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere, with attentive and professional service. I would highly recommend.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely decor and ambience, a really nice welcome from staff, delicious food and excellent service. A great experience for two sets of friends to meet up!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleRead reviews so booked as on holiday and we were not disappointed. We had an excellent meal on Sunday evening. Lovely menu. Every member of staff were attentive but not in your face and you did not feel rushed.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleMy partner and I enjoyed a wonderful meal last night. As Ann is in a wheelchair, it was nice that she was able to access the building and we were given a table close to the bar. We both enjoyed a lovely meal, with great service from the dedicated and attentive staff members. Great to enjoy a rather different dining experience, with a varied menu and delicious food. Not overpriced, very enjoyable, and we will be back soon ! NB The Lunesdale Arms is a place we have been visiting fairly regularly over the past 40+ years, under different owners and chefs, and we have never been disappointed ! Well done.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleVisited twice whilst on holidays. Fantastic food and excellent service
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleVery nice, but we could have done with a better table.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleQuality food in a very nice ambience. Staff were friendly and efficient without making you feel rushed. My only disappointment was there were no dairy free puddings other than sorbet and that wasnt even marked as dairy free on the menu, i had to ask the waitress. G8ven how many people have a dairy intolerance or are vegan, only offering sorbet is a bit lazy! Main courses seemed to cater much better for various dietary needs including gluten free and vegan options. I would happily eat here again if I was back in this area.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleThe Lunesdale is by far the best eating establishment in the area. A fabulous menu - always stuck for choice. But it doesn’t matter what you order because it will be delicious anyway. I cannot praise the food highly enough - it is superb. Lovely staff too - quietly attentive & always pleasant, polite & professional.
