First try since the change of ownership, having been a number of times previously. Overall the food was excellent, but the best part of the evening was the staff, charming, friendly and efficient. The room is just the same as before, and makes for a lovely environment to spend an evening. For four people with two bottles of wine two courses each plus shared puds we thought the price was more than reasonable. We will definitely be visiting again.

I haven’t been since Binds and Andy retired. We weren’t disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, all the staff were pleasant and smiley. The food was amazing. Really pleased. Well done guys.

Table for 8, the food was amazing. Braised lamb with chilli mash beautiful, braised beef stroganoff beautiful, fish pie heavenly and bacon chop was like a tomahawk steak. We all had a fab meal and the staff were excellent. It's our 4th visit and shall be returning. X

Whilst staying in the area on holiday we visited for Dinner last Saturday evening and first impressions looked good. The service was slow but we under stood that because it was very busy. However I ordered the chicken dish with chips. When it arrived the breaded chicken was burnt and served with French fries . I asked if it was possible to have a less charred one which the waitress was more than happy to oblige .When the replacement eventually arrived my partner had already finished her meal so not a pleasant dining experience. My partner then challenged two members of staff regarding the quality of my first meal and the retort was “the chef didn’t think there was anything wrong with the quality of the first meal served” The attitude of the staff and the comment made by the chef was far from satisfactory so much so that our initial thoughts of returning later in the week were quashed.

Second time visiting now, definitely won't be our last when back in the area. The staff are so friendly and polite and the food is gorgeous. My mam said its the best Chicken Ceaser Salad she has ever had!! Thank you

We went for a family Sunday lunch (6 adults, a toddler, and two dogs) and had the best Sunday lunch we have had for a long time. Food was excellent (and plentiful), staff were welcoming, attentive, polite and helpful, and the pub itself is a perfect "classic" countryside pub. All together excellent and we'll be back when we're next anywhere near!

Never been to the venue before but it was in the middle of where all the family live and we met their of a family gathering everything was good, friendly staff helpful service good with a good menu with plenty of choice which resulted in a lovely meal. Thank you

Another excellent lunch with friends. Halloumi kebabs from the grill menu were delicious. Great value, efficient friendly service makes the Lunesdale the best option by far.

After an absence of many years, decided to make a return visit for Friday evening dinner. Absolutely superb in every detail - the food, the service, the premises. Will we return? Definitely.
