Always lovely food, and staff.

We had a table booked for 16.15 on Sunday afternoon, but were advised when seated that there was no roast beef and no pizza available. This left us slightly disappointed considering it was the height of the diner time period! Furthermore, and after the server had served us with our first drinks we attempted to place our orders but at this stage we were then notified of further foods (sticky Korean ribs) no longer being vailable either. Although the server was full of apology we just found it unacceptable to run-out of foods or not have the full selection of the menu readily available, especially given it was prime time on a Sunday afternoon. Due to our experience we decided to move on elsewhere, but were left very disappointed as we were looking forwards to dining at the traders again after our recent previous experience had been a good one.

Food was delicious, friendly hosts and service, very welcoming and accommodating our requests. Dogs were made welcome too, we left happy, well fed and will return.

Went for Sunday lunch and only word for it is amazing from the warm friendly greeting by the super staff to the excellent food, couple of special mentioned the Butternut and coconut soup my partner had was out of this world she said, and the roast beef a generous portion cooked to perfection highly recommend

We had a family lunch and it was very good.There was a 2yr old who had a kiddies meal which was just right.Very pleasant and efficient staff.We have been a couple of times recently and would go back again.

Visited The Dog Inn to celebrate my daughters Birthday Sunday 24th May. Beautiful village pub/restaurant and community owned. The food was brilliant with really friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great portions. We recently moved to Lower Darwen from Manchester and are still exploring, but this is definitely our favourite place to date. We will definitely be returning and they have some great meal deals, such as Burger Wednesday and Chippy Tea Friday, can't wait to try! Thank you for making our visit so special x

We went for an anniversary meal on Bank Holiday Sunday. The food was fabulous and the view from our table was fantastic. Very friendly service from all the staff. Highly recommend.

Had a great family meal hear very welcoming with great service, the food was excellent, I had fish and chips the fish was huge. Excellent view from the dining room as well. Well done all keep up the good work

Had a meal here on Thursday. Everything was excellent including the service. Very reasonable price too. Will definitely be returnin.

We go to the Traders every two weeks. The staff are always friendly and chatty. We had fish and chips, the food was a little delayed, but was lovely. The staff were apologetic and their friendly apology more than made up for it.

Warm welcome on arrival, excellent pub food and great service. My husband gave the sticky toffee date pudding 10/10 and he’s fussy. Great value for money and lovely atmosphere.
