Excellent quality food, beautifully cooked and presented. To Southerners like us, the relatively low price charged for this quality is surprising

Huntleys – PrestonWe've been several times now and always think the food is excellent and service very friendly. Can recommend the special theme nights - we went to a seafood special - wow!
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonWas recommended to try by friends who enjoyed the ice-cream, dropped in on the off-chance when passing luckily for us there was a space, the setting is excellent, modern, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, the food was just excellent, haven't had a really nice meal like this for a long, long time. Highly Recommended.
The Pudding House at Wallings Farm – LancasterI have eaten at The Greyhound on a number of occasions and can safely say it is the best pub food I have ever had! This is much more than you would expect to get in a pub and extremely good value for money. The menu is very varied and caters for everyone and nothing disappoints! (especially not the homemade fish and chips!) The service is fast and friendly and the pub has a great atmosphere.
The Greyhound – LancasterThe staff - in particular claire - were outstanding in their service - even the lovely lady - Mary I think - behind the bar could not be more helpful. Well done to all.
Mangiamo – DarwenThe Plough at Eaves is a lovely picturesque pub/ restaurant. The food was outstanding and although reasonably busy there was no delays on the food. Service was with a smile which always helps. Overall one of the better restaurants i have been to
The Plough At Eaves – Prestonwow, this was a brilliant eatery- more than words can say...almost
Vedas – TodmordenI was amazed to find such an amazing jewel in li'l todmorden, definitely somewhere to eat in resplendent peace
Vedas – TodmordenWe've never had a bad meal here and the food is always top notch. It's great to eat with a tablecloth under your plate(call me old fashioned) rather than from a wood or plastic table. The staff are excellent and well trained. Food comes at a reasonable pace with just the right distance between courses. Wine is well chosen and not exorbitant. The resident proprietors are attentive to detail and I believe that this is one of the best restaurants in Lancashire.
Spread Eagle – ClitheroeZio's is a good destination for a pizza or pasta choice, not for a special occasion meal. It's usually busy at weekends and you may have to wait if you've not booked. The service is invariably friendly and cheerful. The food is typical Italian fare and the prices are reasonable.
Zio Ristorante – Burnleychilli and lemon couscous, honey roasted salmon and a Mediterranean vegetable tortilla slice .... a lovely light lunch, fresh and delicious! A great idea, independent, local businesses - more of 'em please. Outstanding!
Soupanova – LancasterWent here last night and loved it! The surroundings & decor were great. Menu extensive - something for everyone! Had seafood salad and the sea bass, my partner had the soup and pheasant, very tasty! Will definitely be going again with family/friends.
Italian Orchard – Prestonwent there for the first time on new years eve. absolutely fabulous ! been there 3 times since and you just cant fault it ! such a refreshing change from all the rest !
Moka – PrestonAs a regular customer of Tiggis I may be seen to be biased but, credit where its due. The service, food and atmosphere it what brings customers back time and time again.
Tiggis Pizzeria – PrestonThis is by far the best take-away in Blackburn. The quality and taste of the food is excellent. Free coffee on arrival, and you can watch your food being cooked. Tandori dishes, and shashlick take some beating.
Roe Lee Indian Takeaway – BlackburnThis was my second visit to the Red Pump Inn, last year we stumbled across it on a drive out for my dad's birthday and came away very happy customers. What a rare treat in the world of microwaves and instant meals to find a place so committed to real home made food and local produce. This time we visited for my mums birthday and once again we were overwhelmed by the lovely atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff and excellent choice of food on offer. We'd had family members who had not been before and they left feeling as we had the first time we visited. Jon and Martina could not make people feel more at home and local even though we aren't (we drove up from Liverpool) and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. thank you Red Pump Inn for making every visit special.
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeI eat out at many places but this was one of the best. The food was outstanding, i even managed two portions of sticky toffee pudding it was that good. The service was great, very polite. It was a good atmosphere all the staff were very friendly. I recommend it to anybody who is passing over pendle, you will have a great meal and at a reasonable price. X
Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill – ClitheroeTravelled for 3/4 hour to get here. Packed to the rafters. Like a posh "brewers fayre". Not for my age group really I don't think. Very good reviews and general "foody" books do place this restaurant on a very high pedestal but I don't really think it is a genuinely outstanding place at all. Other very good "inns" around the area much more worthy of a visit although it is great to have such a tourist attraction in the valley like the fishes so I can't mark it too low. Being a lecturer.... it could do better and coasts a bit on its reputation
