Had buffet food for a wake and service and food both excellent. Highly recommend.

Lovely meal here at the Sultan for me and my wife. Great food (would really recommend the fish masala starter!), lovely atmosphere and the staff were great too. Really interesting building.

We booked a table for 6 for 7.30. At 8.20 no one had taken our order which we had to chase up with the staff as to whether we should be ordering at the bar. We had our starters and mains, and the table was cleared. After a further 15 minutes we asked if we could order sweets to be told no sorry the chefs have just left!! After much disappointment within our party the front of house team came and asked if we would like sweets as they knew how to make them up and would get them for us. The night was saved by these staff but unfortunately there was a lack of customer service all night for our table. The food, however was lovely

We had a great meal at the Sultan. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food was really tasty. It's an amazing location too. If looking for a really good curry this is a place to visit.

This is my favourite pub for food , in Lancaster . From reopening after lockdown through to now : food is good , good value for money , good atmosphere and helpful staff.

We dined as a family at the Sultan on Sunday evening and it was fabulous. The staff were professional, friendly and attentive and the food was excellent and good value. We will be back!

We arrived to check and was greated with a friendly smile and made to feel welcome. We were shown to our room and was given all details of dinner and breakfast on the walk there. Rooms are located out the back of the bar/restaurant. A warm, clean cosy room was waiting for us. The beds are comfortable, we had a kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, milk and biscuits. Small soaps and shower gels are provided in the bathroom. The room was so clean and fresh. Evening meal was delicious, the chicken kiev is the best I've ever tasted. Potions are large. The restaurant was busy but every member of staff were smiling and friendly. They deserved every penny of the tip left and were very grateful. Had a lovely nights sleep, so peaceful and cosy. Breakfast, we went for the full English, again this was a plate full of food, really delicious but to much for my small appetite. We only stayed the one night but definitely will return. Thank you for a lovely night.

Good food reasonably priced. Well catered for vegans and staff really helpful and pleasant. First time I have been and will definitely be hapoy to go again.

Food is basic pub grub. Average at best

We went for the special burger night. Oh my word...what an absolute joy....from the minute we walked in a friendly welcome from the bar manager. The food was a* and we will definitely go again. The dining area was well lit with candles..nice music....everything was perfect. Well done.

Great atmosphere, service and food. We will be beck!

This is our favourite pub for lunch in Lancaster. We are always made welcome, the drinks are good and reasonably priced, the atmosphere is good as is the service. The food is excellent and never disappoints and the portions are good sized. For anyone of certain age there are a few smaller portion meals which is an excellent idea for those of us who don't need a large trough! Highly recommend!

I went to the Lodge with two friends on 13/11/21. We arrived at 7 and nobody came near our table to offer us a drink for at least 20 minutes. When they came they asked what we wanted to eat and were oblivious that nobody had taken a drinks order. At 7.35 we still had no drinks, and had to get up and approach a staff member about this (we ordered a bottle so nothing that takes long to prep). The food was alright and although it was a while between courses we enjoyed it. It was difficult to get anyone to come back to order more drinks. There were 2 big parties in so I don't mind things being a bit slower because it is busy but there's no excuse for not even taking our orders etc. A shame the service wasn't great. Staff were polite when we did speak to them and someone did apologise at the end of the evening that it had been busy, no such updates during the evening though.

Had a lovely meal at the lodge .7 of us in the group for a Birthday tea ,everybody enjoyed the food , the service was realy good particularly the young man that was taking our menus and generally assisting with all our needs .his name was william so thankyou very much to him and the young lady that was also waiting on ...very helpful.
