A really good meal. Good food and atmosphere and the table service was very good, we were well looked after. A small criticism is that on arrival we were a little early so decided to have a drink at the bar. The service was very slow. The bar man seemed to have many things to do on top of serving customers at the bar. With only 2 people ahead of me it took far too long to be served. Everything else was excellent. Thank you.

Second Saturday at this excellent pub. We choose differently to last week & again all choices were excellent. Good portion sizes & restaurant quality. Staff were attentive & very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service from the team at The Station Hotel. The food was delicious with clean plates all round and came out hot even with it being a bigger order of 12 meals. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family!

We visited the station on a Tuesday tea time as a family group of 5. There was a really great menu with good variety and the children’s food menu was exceptional. My son has allergies and the staff

Fisherman's sharing board is awesome. Moules Frites vg as well. Service good, and waiting times low. The steak sarnie contained a decent bit of steak but the blue cheese was a bit overpowering. We all enjoyed our meals and the prices are good. We will return for sure

Delicious

Four of us, visited the Station Hotel for the first time, for Lunch. There wasn't a complaint from either of us with regards to, the food served, that was absolutely wonderful, the friendly welcoming staff, or, the excellent surroundings. We will definitely be going back and the place is thoroughly recommended. Please pay the Station Hotel a visit, you will not be disappointed. Regards Graham.

Great location ,, by lancaster canal looking a bit tatty in parts carpets etc... service was reasonable .... food took a while to arrive [ but it was friday night ] portions where decent and hot ...!! prices about average !!

My partner and I visited here last Friday and I was underwhelmed to say the least. We ordered starters, I had flatbread with hummus and balsamic, my partner had the cauliflower and red pepper soup with a bread roll. The flatbread you can’t go wrong with. The soup was lukewarm and the bread roll was frozen in the middle. We complained about the bread roll being frozen and they took it away to replace it. It took 15 mins for a replacement roll to arrive by which time my partner had finished her soup otherwise it would have been cold and we would have had to wait even longer for the starter. The worst things about this scenario was was when the bread roll was sent back hearing the Chef shout “for f##ks sake” I have been a Chef for 45 yrs and have rarely heard this type of behaviour. The bad language continued throughout the time we were eating. For Main course I had the Duck which to be fair was very nice. My partner had the Gammon, which was extremely salty and really not enjoyable. My partner asked for some salad dream and the waiter said I don’t know if we do that, but after 5 minutes brought some sachets to the table. To add insult to injury the senior waitress said she had discounted us. In fact all she did was knock 15% off the price of our starter so about 75p. I always look if I get value for money in a pub/restaurant. If I pay £20 in Wetherspoons it is what it is. That meal we had was not worth £56 and the swearing coming out of the Kitchen shows a total lack of professionalism, we shall not be returning.

Fantastic meal, took the family out on a visit to our daughter at Uni, we had 2 vegans and a vegetarian with us, all meals were served in good time, staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. Will definitely come again.

Wanted to try the Waterwitch for years and never got around to it. Finally booked a table for lunch on line - dead easy. Turned up slightly early, cheerful greeting and shown to table immediately. Very nice selection of beers and those selected in the party well received. Food nicely presented and well cooked. Great ambiance watching a few boats go by as well as plenty of people watching as they moved along the towpath. Will not wait another twenty years before visiting again!

Booked a table online no problem. Got there a bit early, but we were taken straight to our table. Staff attentive and friendly. Food was excellent and worth the money. The vanilla cheesecake was very tasty. Guest ales worth a try.

The Water Witch never disappoints. Nice location by the canal. Good service and excellent food at reasonable prices and an extensive menu. The steak and ale pie was excellent. Recommended

Excellent food and service at the Waterwitch. We were able to easily book a table and despite being delayed arriving the staff were extremely welcoming. The food was delicious and well presented and the choice of drinks varied. The only downside was access. Not being familiar with Lancaster we were unsure where to park and Google directions were extremely unhelpful. But very much worth it when we arrived- we will be back!
