Excellent lunch only one criticism one of us had the Sunday Roast Butternut Wellington and the pastry was not quite cooked through! Very pleasant atmosphere

Delicious food and friendly service .

First time at The Mistal Kitchen for Saturday brunch/lunch. Our party of 5 all made different food choices and were all delighted with the food that came. Generous portions and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. We will definitely return. Thank you.

We had booked a table for Sunday lunchtime, at 12, hoping we might be able to have the Sunday roast however it had already sold out. We love the food at Mistal so easily made other choices and, as usual, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, however, the service was very slow and not particularly friendly. On arrival we immediately ordered child's beans on toast for a hungry toddler and it took 40 minutes to arrive. The rest of our meals, ordered a short while later, took another 50 minutes to come. This is not the first time we have been disappointed with Mistal service and it puts us off returning for anything more than coffee and cake in future. Such a shame as the food is reliably good.

I booked a table for Sunday lunchtime for my partner’s birthday having searched on the internet for Vegetarian Café’s near Otley. Upon arrival we were ignored by 3 staff behind the counter until a fourth younger member of staff finally arrived, who had been serving, and took us to our table. Having chosen from the menu, I ordered from the counter, as instructed, and was asked to pay up front which is not too unreasonable, I suppose, considering there are also many outside tables. However, I did find it strange (and embarrassing) that when paying by card I was prompted to reject/accept paying a tip for a service and food that we had not yet had. The food (Sweetcorn fritters) was very tasty and just as described, though if I am honest, I would have liked a slightly bigger portion for the price. Neither of us are particularly in a rush to go back for a second time even though the environment/surroundings are nice.

Wonderful as always

I brought a group of cycling friends to the cafe for their first visit at the weekend. Everyone was delighted with the food & location & said they'd be back. I would like to request you add stands for cyclists to lock their bikes up. We had to sit outside to ensure the bikes were safe, luckily it was a nice day otherwise it would have been a problem. Thanks

Really lovely meal at supper club as always, thank you. Noticeable that potions have decreased in order to maintain prices in these crazy times, but we both left feeling full, and used to find portions were unmanagably huge, so we both felt this was a positive step. It's lovely to not be rushed for a second sitting and staff are always lovely and super thoughtful about where best to accomodate our guide dog. In our tucked away corner our drinks and mains were both clearly forgotten, there were several new staff and they maybe need a bit more training. We thought the menu was slightly less innovative than some we have had here before, but still really tasty.

We came for the tasting menu in May. It was amazing! I honestly think this was the best meal I've ever had, I enjoyed every part of it. I could have eaten it all again. The sweetcorn ribs were particularly fantastic. I'm vegan but my husband isn't and he loved the food too. There is such a lovely atmosphere there, the staff are really friendly and we had a wonderful evening.

Excellent food and service. Handy location for walking and for airport.

We’ve been here for coffee a couple of times. Decided we should try lunch. All 4 of us enjoyed our food. So we’ll be back.

We stopped by for a weekend brunch - so delicious! Enjoyed every bite and had a lovely seat upstairs. We always love coming here for coffee and cake or something nice from the menu. Wil be back!

I had a booking but was ignored by two members of staff before being acknowledged and shown to a seat. The room where we were seated was very cold and therefore the food, which wasn't piping hot to start with, went cold very quickly. The food was very nice though. I thought the tea was very pricey at £3.00 for a teabag in a teacup, not a mug. Not a patch on the atmosphere and service from The Cheerful Chilli I'm afraid. The food was nice though but won't be rushing back.
