This week 8 of us ate at 19 at 6.15. We all enjoyed the Xmas menu, it was lovely. And so were the staff. . Ive now had coffee and scones am, a market meal and xmas menue and its all great quality food with great flavours. And have now booked an afternoon tea. In December.. 19 Saltburn – Saltburn-by-the-SeaIt was our first time at Brooks but it won't be our last. We chose 2 fish and 2 veggie tapas dishes with 2 sides. All were beautifully presented and delicious. As were the deserts, especially the sherry cake and icecream. (I'm going to have to try to make something like that at home!) We were warmly welcomed by the friendly proprietor who seemed to know the other diners well, and it was busy for an early Thursday evening. Obviously the people of Ilkley and round about, appreciate the quality of Brooks, too. We're looking forward to our next visit. To make it even better, I would like Sri Lankan music and photos of Sri Lanka to add to the atmosphere.

Banarasi – HullWell that was the most beautiful meal I have had in a very long time. There were 5 of us and 5 empty plates . The fish main was outstanding and the beef Wellington cooked perfectly . The staff are lovely and the place has a nice buzz to it without being overcrowded We had the market menu but I can’t wait to go and try the tasting menu next Thanks David snd the team for a perfect evening
19 Saltburn – Saltburn-by-the-SeaThe disappointing: The atmosphere lacked. We felt the decor needed more to make it inviting. It felt sterile. We had to sit with coats on, as every time the door opened, we had a cold blast around our table position and it wasn’t placed near the entrance door. Staff dressed very casual in jogging pants, sweatshirts and Crocs. The good: The food was excellent. The table service was also very good with staff been attentive . We wouldn’t rush back until some changes are made.

Denmans Restaurant – HalifaxI’ve been here a couple of times and food was always bang on and delicious. Me and my friend really enjoyed our night as it was quieter than any times I’ve ever been. The guys didn’t want me to wait 70 seconds for the pizza and they knew we were leaving and got it ready just in time!
