Nice place but the burger I ordered was very plain no salad or anything with it and made of processed beef probably shop bought as were the fries not nice at all

Came here for my birthday meal and we were greeted by a lovely man who quickly seated us. The staff were attentive and always smiling. The food was hot and replenished quickly when food got low. A couple small issues such as after drinks orders were taken it did take a while to get them, we were seated underneath a light that kept flickering on and off which was slightly off putting + a staff member cleaning the tables sneezed into her hands and then didn’t wash her hands. All in all I loved the place and the minor issues are quickly overlooked with how amazing the atmosphere was, we’ll be making this our monthly date night place. Thank you for making our first night out in years lovely ❤️

This was our third visit to Little Sicily and it never fails to impress. I had the Tagliatelle Funghi Porcini and the flavour was wonderful. My husband had Rack of Lamb and he really enjoyed it. The service was second to none, attentive without being intrusive. We love this place. I wish it was closer to home!!

We called at the Maypole on our way back from a weekend away in the Lakes. I booked a table on line and received confirmation of the booking straight away. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and made to feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious and the team were extremely friendly and helpful when choosing our food from the menu. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we will definitely come back. I would highly recommend the Maypole.

Excellent venue and staff. Booking was easy through the website and the menu & drinks made the venue look attractive for the occasion, on arrival staff are very welcoming and eager to attend to your needs. My food was very nice, but the wife had ordered a steak rare, but unfortunately it came well done, and the steak was very fatty and most of it was left! The staff was prompt to address the food and removed it from the bill and gave us a pudding on the house. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and will return soon.

A little gem. Visited twice in a week it was so good. Delicious lasagne & chicken. Service very good & staff friendly. Despite being full this did not impact on the service. Very highly recommended. We’re back again with a group of friends on Sunday.

I would suggest if you want to eat at the Aegean you ring them to book. Despite using the booking service and checking their website for opening hours on Sunday 16th July and having received an acceptance of our booking for 7.30pm at 602pm, we were turned away and told the last meal had just come out and they were shutting at 8pm. the waiter was polite but we had no meal, it was raining and we had walked there in the rain with a booking for nothing. The website booking app is unreliable. Phone if you want to eat there and avoid disappointment. We won't be booking again.

Wonderful choice and range of food, all cooked freshly and not just sat out waiting for some time like other all-you-can-eat restaurants I have been to before. Decent value for money, and drinks aren’t too expensive. Only negative is the lack of parking, as I have limited mobility issues, but that is York city centre for you!

We booked the table at 5:30 on Friday. We want order Sushi, but the chef was not there. The staff told us that we need wait for one and half hour. At the end we waited unit 7:00, The chef still haven’t come back to the restaurant. At the same time, we order some food waiting for the chef. The food were really bad! too salty ! We had a beef rice. Half bowl of rice was soaked with salty soup. The rice is hard not fresh. They don’t use Japanese rice . I never had the beef rice like this. If you don’t service sushi, You must inform your customer in the booking. Don’t waste our time and made us disappointed.

Attended as part of a large group, food as always was delicious, fresh and hot. The staff were attentive and encouraged me to try new foods .

The service was very good and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. The cannelloni had a lot of sauce on it . There were two tubes of pasta filled with balls of meat which had a pate texture, I thought it was not good value for money. The calzone was large tasty and we were able to use the ends to dip in the excessive sauce on the cannelloni. Drinks prices, getting expensive

Really excellent lunch - plenty of flavour in a variety of different dishes. Will certainly return.
