Disappointing,meat in dishes chewy, noodles like rubber,have been going to Maxi's for many years but won't be going again

We came in January and the food was amazing. A varied menu and everything was done to a great standard. We have come again two months later and the menu has been shortened ‘to provide better quality and locally sourced ingredients’. Unfortunately the food has gone so far down hill instead of eating here every night as we did in January we have preferred to go further a field or eat in the apartment. Small menu and poor quality food has spoilt was was a fantastic pub. Staff were also less accommodating than previously and did t actually listen to what we were wanting. Overall very disappointing

1st time in the Crown glad to say a pleasant experience. Welcomed into the pub and shown to our table, I had potato and leak soup to start , the wife had chorizo and prawn & both were good. Fish pie & cod &chips for main. Both of us impressed by what we had. All staff very good made for a good evening.

Fantastic in every way every time

We have been visiting Luna Blu quite regularly since we moved to yarm a year ago. It's our favourite place in yarm. The staff are brilliant, so nice and friendly. We are always made to feel so welcome and it's got such a good vibe and atmosphere. A great place for food and drinks all served to you by the amazing Luna blu staff. We cannot fault this place on any level. A big thanks to all the lovely staff at Luna blu, you've all made it the best place to eat, drink and be merry!

We always love it here. The lasagne is to die for!!! Every piece of food we loved; starters, main and dessert. Such a great atmosphere too

Amazing food & service.

A lovely, friendly pub. Food choice was great and clearly freshly-made. Great views outside too A handy stop off between Lancaster and "t'other Side" :-)

Overall, our Saturday night meal was a real mixed bag. We arrived early for the table as instructed on the email, only to be told that it would be about 20minutes until an order could be taken. When the orders were to be placed only 3 mains (from 5 were available) and I think a starter was missing as well. This is disappointing at the best of times, but for a 7.30pm sitting, its pretty poor. Unfortunately the 20 minutes turned into over 30. And then there was a significant delay between the starter and the main course. The food that was served was excellent, and the staff were attentive and continually reminded us of the wait. It was a nice touch of Dale to bring out the mains, apologise personally for the delays and offer deserts on the house. We did order a desert to share but when the final bill came out, this was charged for. When we left and voiced our frustrations, Mark explained the situation with a large table turning up significantly late. This is probably the most disappointing, as the tables that turned up on time (or even early as instructed) are the ones who suffer. A final disappointment is that these concerns were raised with the restaurant but we heard nothing back from them.

6 of us had a meal here on a Wednesday evening. The welcome was very warm, servers attentive and very pleasant. The food was gorgeous. The tapas are about the size of a decent starter so 2 with a side are a decent amount. We mostly had 3 tapas and it was plenty. The atmosphere was lovely, all twinkly fairy lights, quite sophisticated. A few of us had a glass of house wine, which was great quality. It would be easy to spend a lot of money as everything sounds really tasty. We are definitely going back.

Just go!! If you want delightful food, beautifully cooked then this is the place for you. Fresh food, balanced spices and great value. What more could you need?

good food - the group had mostly sashimi based dinners and loved the presentation and quantity of food served. no reports of stomach upset or vomiting after sashimi which is always a good sign however, overall a relatively slow service - would not recommend for desperately hungry souls

Delicious meal and very friendly service. The meal was on the pricey side but well worth it. We were given the choice of the bar and the restaurant, and chose to stay in the bar, which obviously was a bit noisier, so if you want peace and quiet, choose the restaurant!

A lovely welcoming pub, pleasant staff and the service was good. The food was well presented, well cooked, delicious and decent size portions.

We had a truly lovely meal yesterday with friends Great atmosphere and as usual wonderful food. Thank you
