Lovely service and food. . . Good value for money!

Excellent service and the food is always consistently good and well presented. I am a good regular to this establishment and will continue to be as I am never disappointed with how welcoming the staff and front of house are ! Also value for money ! Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our meal ,service and cleanliness first class Fish was excellent but the chips were not quite up to their usual standard as a bit soft This did not affect our experience and will be back

Great food, fabulous service, so good we booked as a stop off for our return journey from the Lakes. Loved the special salmon and prawn linguini, perfect hint of chilli. Have marked it on the road atlas for next trip up north!

We visited recently and wasn’t fully satisfied with the meal like we usually are, I ordered the sirloin and it was undercooked to my liking and tasted raw, my partner had the burger and thought it was try and lacking any moisture, we both ended up both being very ill and being sick numerous times through out the night. This is very unlike this place as we visit often however the staff and service was 10/10 as they were able to cater to our allergy needs.

Amazing food and service, we really enjoyed the ramen. We ordered 3 sides and had them as starters, bonus points!!!

Came here Friday night with best mate table booked for 7.30 pm . Service was very slow but the food was perfect value for money .Friendly staff was busy so took a long time for food to come after ordering ,but will not stop me from going again as food ,staff were great .Atmosphere and decor was like being back on holiday in greece.

Another wonderful meal at our favourite Whitby restaurant

Went to Sambuca for the first time and sat outside on the terrace, which was lovely. The food and atmosphere was really nice. Only thing I would comment on was how fast the food was served to us. I like a break between courses and to relax and take in the atmosphere, but each course followed the other which seemed rushed. But all in all, very nice and will return again.

It is two years since our last visit, yet nothing changes with the Magpie experience ! superb food, excellent service and very good value,

Always top quality and excellent service

Booked a table , two weeks in advance at this cafè . Waited for food nearly an hour ! Wasn’t anything to rave about , much nicer food in other nearby cafes and restaurants . Wateriest and man on the door , extremely rude . Was not just to us , I even saw the staff made a women with a stick walk back up the stairs to go out a different way ! Don’t bother much nicer places , like Terry’s fish place , Quay Wharf I do recommend , definitely The Magpie , don’t waste your money or your time .
