Although we have lived in Morley for just over 2 years, this is the first time that we have been to Sambuca, and it was brilliant, from start to finish, the service was outstanding, everyone who was working there on Sunday Afternoon, were friendly and the food was excellent, I would highly recommend this Restaurant to visit any day, we intend to go back as soon as possible,

Excellent food and service the waiters are always very pleasant, polite and helpful,. The food comes out in good time and is really good and fresh and clearly made well. It’s an excellent example of a family run restaurant and has been great for many years not letting its high standards slip. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a great Japanese meal for a very reasonable price.

We visited here for a birthday meal after wanting to go for ages and we certainly wasn't disappointed ! We were greeted by the friendly staff who showed us to our table. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always smiling. We ordered the meze as we just couldn't chose from the menu and it was worth every penny. The food was so fresh and tasty and we got so much it certainly was value for money. It definitely was a taste of the Greek cuisine without having to board a plane. We will definitely be returning

Went to Roots on Saturday evening..... was just fabulous! I had to try their 'Goat' Curry as I've never tried it before and was very interested in how it would taste.... it was amazing! Quite hot but still very tasty and with potatoes in the curry (always good!) it was served with rice and peas (rice and kidney beans) which just went very well as an accompaniment. Onto Drinks..... we each (3 of us) had 5 cocktails..... not one of them was bad! they all tasted fabulous and i cannot wait to go back and try the ones we never got round to trying! the service was 5* as with Covid rules in place - it is all table service and the seating area and surrounds were very clean and the staff were great - very attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was brilliant! reggae music playing and all tables were having a good time (a few very loud tables - but it WAS a Saturday night so not a problem) hand sanitizer was available on every table and social distancing was in place. i felt very safe. i would 100% recommend to anyone who hasn't been before - should go and try Roots for food and drink! they will be as amazed as I was! You have won a customer for life in me :) and thankyou for a truly fabulous night.

We found this gem of a place a number of years ago. We visit Maxis whenever we are in the area and often plan a special trip just to enjoy a Maxis evening. We have never been disappointed, the food, staff are excellent, warm and welcoming. We were hesitant to visit (from Scotland) because of the current COVID situation, on arrival hand sanitiser was readily available, temperature checks, and details taken for trace and testing purposes. The staff very visibly in their cleaning. Tables we well spaced. Nothing seem to much trouble and we had a fabulous meal in relaxing environment. Well done Maxis !

Had the loveliest meal on Friday night. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is plentiful and delicious. We originally were going to have the Meze, but the owner explained that he had had some stock issues and would not be comfortable selling it to us as it would not be up to it’s usual standard. We instead opted for a couple of starters to share and a main dish each (I highly recommend the baked prawns with feta!). He very kindly offered us a free Greek salad for the inconvenience of the Meze being unavailable. Love this restaurant. One of my favourites in Hull.

What can I say. Punctual well rehearsed service with covid-19 safety always at the fore. Spaced dining area with pipe worn by staff. The ambiance was wonderful, the food well presented tasty and gorgeous. We had the king prawn risotto to start which was so tasty. Then I had one of the tastier Rib eye steak I've ever had. My partner had the trio of Venison again superb. I can highly recommend a visit or more to this hidden delight.

Highly recommended. We had a delicious meal - my husband thought the venison was fabulous but I highly rated the duck too. Delicious meal, good wine and friendly, polite old-fashioned service.
