East – PudseyWe have eaten food from Rajas restaurant for years, the staff are warm and welcoming with always a smile to greet you, the food is out of this world, the flavours are very authentic and really fresh, Ive never experienced restaurant food quite like it and I have tried many tandoori restaurants- this is definitely one to try you wont be disappointed! We are now introducing the food to our children who love it!
Raja’s – RoundhayI can recommend the Newsholme Manor for it's food, drink and it's lovely Caravan and camping site.
Newsholme Manor Hotel – KeighleyTruly one of the tastiest Indian meals I've had, myself & my husband have visited 2-3 times since opening for a take away & will be back to eat in the restaurant!cant fault it.Would definitely recommend A******
Alachi – HullWe were recommended this venue to try. The service was excellent, really attentive and quick. We followed two large groups so were expecting to wait a little while for service but were not. The food was of good quality although it did appear that the same sauces were used in the chicken dishes and that the meat had not been marinaded at all. We prefer chunks of chicken as opposed to slices. Flavours were of a good quality though. Overall a DLCC rating of 7.5 out of 10.
The Original Dilraj – BarnsleySorry - I have to disagree 100%... I only visited this restaurant 2 weeks ago and being new to the area have started trying the local restaurants around me. Firstly it took them 20 minutes to order a drink (as it seems chatting with staff and regular customers is more important than their new customers!), secondly when the food came it wasn't what we had ordered and it was cold and thirdly, after showing our concerns with the staff that we were not happy with the service they were not interested at all and seemed to hurry us out without any apology to then go back and join their regular customers at their table. I am very disappointed with this 'so called' great restaurant and will be telling everyone I know to avoid it. Very unfriendly and rude staff and very little effort made.
Bond Street Restaurant & Bar – HullHad a meal there in January 2011 and going back on Friday (11/2/11) There were 10 of us in the party but we did not have to wait too long for a table. All staff were helpful and attentive. All food was served hot and with good portions and was delicious. Looking forward to our next meal.
Lucia Wine Bar & Grill – Beverleywhat a great meal!!
Whistling Goose, The – HullWe have been visiting the Go Down for many years, the food and service is always excellent and probably the only restaurant my husband will go to in York. It was so good that we got married 3 years ago today (9th February) and asked Peter and Penelope if they would 'do' our wedding reception. We had a wonderful meal for 30 guests and they still talk about it now. Can't get better than that. Unfortunately cannot go tonight to celebrate but will be back there next week for my birthday.
Go Down The – YorkEating at the Prashad is a real treat. The food is superb, consisting of fresh flavours and contrasting textures. We had a simply splendid lunch. We were served by an attentive and efficient waiter, who also made time to explain the particular cooking methods and the spices used in the dishes that we chose.
Prashad – Bradfordgreat food great staff and great value
Mandarin Palace – WorksopI have visited the Wheatsheaf several times recently for lunch, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would not normally take the time to review a restaurant/ pub, due to my own laziness. However, after reading the recent review in the Yorkshire Evening Post I felt compelled to do so. I can only imagine that the reviewer thought they were a Michelin Inspector, although the situation did not sound ideal, it does appear to me that it has been embellished for literary purposes. The food and service at this establishment have always been second to none and at an extremely reasonable price. All the reviews already placed on this site are testament to this. Shame on you Yorkshire Evening Post, surely a second visit (if they will have you) is in order to present a more accurate picture.
Wheatsheaf Inn – Cleckheatoni have been going here since I was a little girl food is great an staff are fab
Welcome Friends – GarforthThe Royal Eastern is the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant outside China!!! My husband and I have eaten here several times and each visit is an absolute treat. We are lovers of good food and wine and have travelled all over the world and eaten in some of the top Michelin starred restaurants... and we can honestly say that the cuisine on offer at the Royal Eastern is a good contender for any of them! The staff are very attentive and hospitable, and nothing is too much trouble for them. We feel very looked after by the managers/owners Matthew and Natasha and they will always come over to ask you if everything is ok with your meal. Martin the head waiter is a true gentleman and a credit to the restaurant, and Carina the singer has a beautiful soothing mellow voice to entertain you while you eat. They offer a selection of very tasty authentic dishes I haven't seen anywhere else, and will even make unusual dishes for you which aren't on the menu if you like to try new things. The quality of the ingredients they use is really fresh, and portions are always very generous - we alway have loads left over which they bag up for you to take home. I would especially recommend the Whole Sea Bass with Garlic, and the Szechuan Fillet Steak is to die for! Just thinking about the food at Royal Eastern is making my mouth water.... I can't recommend it highly enough! Brilliant :) Matthew the
Royal Eastern – BradfordI visited in December, 6 people and enjoyed it so much I have recommended that we take 12 people to eat on Wed. 9th Feb 11. Some of these people being visitors from Russia
La Piazza – RichmondI moved to the area recently and am not a big takeaway eater as I always think they are substandard, however yummy house proved me wrong my partner and I had the most amazing takeaway the other night, beautiful food that taste amazing and authentic , an efficient and friendly service also. I would recommend trying the duck And pancakes and special chow mein mmmmmmm just about to order again
Yummy House – ShipleyThe restaurant is really nice, small and cosy, with a very friendly staff. And when it comes to food...it's just great, probably the best Italian food you will find in Leeds! The pizzas are just like the ones that you can find in Italy and the desserts are also really really good. Above all that, I must say that the prices are fair and it's a good value and great quality.
