Just had a lovely meal at this place, new menu and new private owners. Black Bull fayre menu excellent, now serves proper sunday roast dinners with real joints of meat. Lovely gravy and outstanding value.

I had Black Bull burger, 2 8oz Aberdeen Angus burgers made up this monster of a burger, slices of bacon, cheese, onion rings, mushrooms and smothered in BBQ sauce. Excellent will eat their again. Best try it soon as this place is gonna be busy busy busy

In particular the nan bread which is the nicest we have tried! I would recommend eating out at the Royal Spice as you will be guaranteed a great curry as a reasonable price!

Maxis – Leeds City CentreHaving been to both the Akbars in Leeds in knew what to expect, decor was similar modernist (bit to much red lighting for me but that's just personal taste), poppadoms arrived these were soft and to be honest tasted like either yesterdays or some left over from the Lunch serving, not impressed at all, main course was hot with decent sized portions, however the food was totally over salted to the point where all you could taste was salt, I had ordered the Lamb and spinach balti which fro all the world was a lamb sagg by any other name, price was a little on the high side for an Indian but not ridiculous, got to be honest all in all not impressed with the food in this Akbars the one on Greek St in Leeds is better.

Design House – HalifaxOmar's offers a warm and hospitable environment that is hard to beat. It chooses not to follow the current trend for wooden floors, modern table arrangements and trendy lighting, offering a more homely and comfortable dining experience. The service is personal and efficient and the extensive menu is superb. Mix and match Karahis are a speciality and definitely appeal to the adventurous. Be prepared for the heat though, as their trademark sauce can be on the fiery side for the uninitiated. If in doubt, request it mild! I prefer to ask for it Asian style and wash it down with an ice cold Cobra. Yes, it's one of the few licensed restaurants in the city. Give it a go, you won't regret it!

The menu consists of home cooked food served to you will the warm faces of the new landlord Peter Murphy or as he would put it his righhand man Ashley Coley.

I can't rate it highly enough - you have to go, you will not be disappointed I promise you! It is truly brilliant fun and always packed, every single night we have been. Food is fabulous with great staff, and superb value for money... it makes me want to move to Cleckheaton! This place will be going for years!
