I have eaten here a number of times with my best friend ; they've recently had a refit and I have to say, the place has lost a lot of its intimacy. Part of the appeal of the place used to be that you could have a quiet conversation in peace and privacy - now that has gone. The booths from the side of the dining area have been taken away in order to create a more open space and the lighting has been cranked up a notch. I can understand what they were trying to do - but when you enter now, you feel the place has lost a lot of its soul. The food is average but not spectacular and the service is prompt ; there's not much choice of restaurants in Brighouse, though - so until something better comes up, I'll carry on going there.

Great place if you fancy a pub lunch and want to take the kids. They do a kids menu for about £2.95 which includes a meal, bag of fruit, drink and crayons and paper. Separate family area to eat in. Lovely lavazza coffees made with organic milk.

I've eaten at Sasso twice now and both times I've been disappointed with the noise level. The acoustics of the restaurant are not good, with a low ceiling that reflects sound back, it can get very loud especially when there are large groups in. The menu has quite a bit of choice but there's nothing on there that really wow's me; apart from the individual ice cream desert with the walnut & amaretto sauce which is exceptional! The service was very good though and the friendly staff do a good job even on a busy night. Our three course meal with a glass of wine cost approximately £35 each inc service charge but you could pay a lot more than that if you order their speciality starters and main courses.

As usual the food and atmosphere at the Drum was fantastic! It's always warm, comfortable and cosy and the staff are extremely friendly. Our fish was cooked to perfections and it's by far the best fish restaurant around!

Shipley - really excellent food & service, low cost. definitely worth a visit and will give Aagrah some stiff competition. Go for the mixed sizzler starter. Particularly excellent for families with young kids - we go early on, say 6:30pm, before the main evening rush starts. The waiters really look after the kids, nothing is too much trouble. If only all restaurants considered family diners life would be so much easier. Remember to take your own booze and leave room in your freezer for the take-outs you will be bringing home. The Shimla Spice Restaurant in Shipley is a great restaurant. I used to go to the Aagrah and Akbars, but since this restaurant has opened ive been coming here. This restaurant has magnificent food, brilliant service and it is far away better looking than any restaurant in Yorkshire. This restaurant specialises in birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, small to large parties and any occasion you want to celebrate at a very good and reasonable price. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to dine out at a beautiful restaurant.

Great restaurant in Pudsey, the food has always been nice and the atmosphere and service outstanding. Would recommend.

We visited Sukhothai on Friday night last, and can not rememeber the last time I enjoyed such a fabulous evening. Top quality food, served with charm and grace in a beautifully designed restaurant that would not look out of place in any major city centre. Bookings are highly recommended as the place was heaving, but I did not find the noise level a problem at all. Beautiful thai artwork is displayed on every wall and we finished the evening off with a few drinks on the sofa's next to the water fall feature. A top class venue serving possibly the best thai food in the uk.

Found the atmosphere great and meal inexpensive, however this is one of the occasions where you get what you pay for!

Been several times over the last few months for dinner. Food is great, much higher than average pub food. Atmosphere and decor of Bankhouse is also good and the service has always been up to scratch on every occasion.

excellent staff, excellent service, reasonably priced, great ambience, very very well worth a visit. A three course meal for two only cost us £40.00. We will definitely be going again, and CERTAINLY be recommending this place to others.

Excellent food, there is so much choice and each course is made with a passion. I have been to this restaurant several times and cant fault it. Yes the only downside is the size of the restaurant, but if you enjoy good home made italian cooking at it's finest, you wont have any complaints here. Ensure you book as there are two sittings one @ 6.00pm and one @ 8.00pm.

Been here lots. Always Good Food. Varied menu, specials. Great atmosphere for young to Old. Love so much we held our wedding reception there. Home from home.

The food at fudge is truly tremendous, and for that reason it's my favourite place to eat in Hull. The chicken satay noodles are particularly excellent - though if you're going to Fudge, you go because of the desserts! Try the Fudge sundae - it's incredible! Everything's modern and fresh - it can't be beaten.
