Jinos Thai Cafe – HeadingleyJust a great night out, top food in a beautifull restaurant, with stunning service. 5 stars all round. Highly recommended. Definately hard to better on any level. Easy to park too. Raises the stakes to other other Leeds Thai restaurants, and Sukhothai leaps ahead of the competition in my opinion.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonIf you want excellent food in a pretentious atmosphere then look elsewhere. If what you like is superb food with attention to detail, quality and service - this is the place. A cheap meal it is not. A superb meal where very penny seems well spent is how we think of the place. A few days before eating here we were at a Michelin starred restaurant (which had better remain nameless). The lasting impression from there was 'nice try - but the price!'. At the Crab and Lobster we went away with the 'must come again' feeling. I rest my case....
Crab And Lobster Restaurant – YorkFantastic ambience with really attentive service, beautiful surroundings but the real winner here is the kitchen team, the food is wonderful, we have been many times now and never been disappointed, the varied and extensive menu never fails to achieve the highest heights of fine Thai cuisine. Always welcoming to afmilies and even very young children, a joy and a pleasure to dine here, we will certaionly be back again and again and again.
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centrethis was a wonderful little find, attentive staff good menu and a excellent wine menu, scallops to begin with which were spot on, fillet steak stuffed with mushrooms and garlic this was just divine, we shared a bottle of pouille fuise-very good indeed, a little pricey two starters, two mains and a bottle of wine and a couple of drinks while waiting to be seated around £90.00, but i have to say overall it was well worth it- will certainly be coming back
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreCentral Park is a one of the friendliest places to eat in the North East and definitely my favourite! The staff are very professional and extremely polite, they go out of their way to make your visit a pleasurable one. Service is of the highest standard. The most important thing is the food - naturally: Excellent choice of wines - the wine list is reviewed and upgraded regularly and the house wines are excellent. The menu provides a great choice for all tastes and is always cooked to perfection. If you can't find what you want they will always try to accommodate your tastes/preferences. The prices are very reasonable for the standard of service you receive and the quality and quantity of the food. They have just completed a new upstairs lounge which is extremely well furnished and very tastefully decorated. It the perfect place to meet friends to catch up, relax and unwind. Overall a leisurely experience, you are not rushed in or out to make way for the next customer (as is the case in some other large restaurants on Linthorpe Road - no names - you know who you are!!). WELL WORTH A VISIT!
Central Park – MiddlesbroughIf you love the gay scene this is the place to be. Bar fibre by far is one of the classiest places in Leeds. The foods great and so are the staff.
Bar Fibre – Leeds City CentreI'd never had Moroccan food before and I've been twice in a month. It looks like a cafe from the outside but the food is truly amazing! You have to take your own alcohol so it keeps it a reasonably priced meal - around £60 for 4 people, 4 courses. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
Samis – Chapel AllertonWe enjoyed a fabulous late lazy lunch after Christmas shopping in Leeds on 10.12.05. The menu was excellent which made making our minds up difficult so we had another drink! The food was excellent and the recommended wine was delightful. We can't praise this place enough and are looking forward to going again.
La Vina – Leeds City CentreA smart, slick Thai restaurant in the suburb of chapel Allerton provides the best Thai food around with impeccable service. You wont find a better Thai meal in this country, never mind in Yorkshire.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonIts all true. Went on sunday night. very busy, really exceptionally great food with great service at a reasonable price. My only complaint was I never knew it existed before now.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonVisited China Buffet King on a few occasions. The food is always fresh and plenty of variety, If you like Chinese then this is the place for your all you can eat Chinese meal. We love it (Friday night regulars)
China Buffet King – MiddlesbroughBeen here a few times, and always excellent food and excellent cocktails. There's a genius to putting things like lemongrass and lime with vodka which allows you to persuade yourself it's exotic and healthy... Also it tastes very good. The aubergine bento box is my favourite.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreMy partner and I are becoming regulars at the Nawaab Khan simply because we cannot find a better curry anywhere. The Nawaab Khan food is outstanding in every respect and is far superior to any curry we have tasted in many years of eating out. We vary our starters and the Chicken Mackhani is my favourite main course meal and my partner loves the Afghani Lamb. The Nan Bread and Stuffed Parathas are fabulous.
Nawaab Khan – RoundhayMy new favourite place!! Truly a little piece of Thailand, here in Leeds. Ive eaten all over Yorkshire and this is the best Thai food Ive had since returning from Thailand 3 yrs ago.. My first visit I left disappointed as they were fully booked, but since then, I have returned several times, and can't find a fault to date!! Very impressed.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreSukhothai - the best Thai food round Leeds easily, excellent service in a stunning restaurant. Extremely busy with a great atmosphere. I now understand why this restaurant is held in such high esteem and bookings are necessary, an extremely enjoyable night out that scores highly in every department. The food is awesome and I do not believe it can be bettered, certainly not in the uk, not to date anyway. We went as a party of 6 on Saturday night, the place was buzzing, and the service was perfection and the food divine. Keep it up Sukhothai
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonI consider myself to be a purveyor of Indian food, having had plenty of English slop in my student days, and having perfected a finer nose and taste range with travelling to India and Asia over the last 10 years for business. Whilst in the east I have been fortunate enough to experience the true tastes of fine Indian cuisine, I can honestly say there are not many restaurants that come even remotely close to providing the taste sensations that these quality dishes should provide. Akbars have always been the nest bet in Leeds, although you can still go to Akbars and order 4 different mains and I guarantee they will all taste slightly similar to each other. However at last Nawaab Khan provides the best Indian food I have ever had in this country by a long shot. The menu is vast, and the cooking is exquisite. I always opt for the deluxe Thali, which is a combination of 6 random dishes created by the chef. Every dish tastes completely different to the others, with soft fluffy mushroom rice. My partner opts for the fish dish, which is perfectly cooked and spiced. Honestly if you understand Indian food you will be hard pressed to better this place. The atmosphere at times is lacking, but that is due to the large size of the restaurant, I always found the staff to be very attentive and helpful and do not hesitate in recommending this place.
Nawaab Khan – RoundhayHansas offers something for everyone. The staff were great fun and very entertaining and the fo food was exciting, interesting and very tasty. Definitely leave room for dessert as you won't leave disappointed.
