Amazing food and friendly staff. The pies are to die for!

Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. We had the haddock and steak and ale pie. Both dishes were delicious and well worth the £10 cost. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Our food arrived promptly and as already said tasted delicious. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere and I would definitely recommend. Hope to visit again soon

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch at the Kitchen yesterday Staff were friendly and the service was quick even though they were quite busy The only issue we had was that we asked for Diet Coke but when we got it it was nasty supermarket cola (we subsequently noticed on the menu that it ws advertised as Cola ) We did feel that as we had requested Diet Coke (and Diet Coke is sold by the bottle on the menu) we should have been brought Diet Coke or at least given a choice Overall apart from that though - Very good and we will certainly go back

Beautiful food, haddock/whale & chips and Steak n Ale Pie with creamy, smooth mash. Thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Especially at £10 per meal, not able to dine out due to cost of living, so it was definitely a much needed treat, due to a stressful time. Staff were lovely too, as was surroundings. Definitely returning.

Lovely lunch- food was tasty and served piping hot.

We had a lovely meal but the service wasn't great unfortunately. Had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken and then had to wait further for our drinks to be brought to the table. It wasn't particularly busy so it was disappointing. The food however was really hot when it came and very taste.

All three of us loved our meals and ate everything on our plates! Service excellent and staff helpful and friendly. We are regular customers and had booked, but the table we were given was in the centre of the restaurant this time and not so great. It was in line with the main doors so was draughty...we put our coats back on! Also it was noisier as we were surrounded by chatter. It didn't feel cosy. I think we would ask for a different table another time. Otherwise it was very good.

Came for a treat to Celebrate with family and a friend. Had booked. Had to wait a little while for front of house as they were all out the back behind the bar. However once seated our service was very good. Food was very nice, hot and plenty of it. Compliments to the chefs. The restaurant was a little cold, fine for me but my elderly mother had to keep her coat on and was shivering. Air was blowing right over us, not sure why it needed to be on in January! Sort out front of house and turn the heating up and then it would be perfect!

First time we’ve been back here since the new location from KINE and we were NOT disappointed. The staff were excellent, especially Max, he was an absolute blast. We were a chatty bunch that gave him a run for his money and he handled us really well. He apologised for the food being slow but in all fairness we didn’t even notice, we weren’t in a rush as we were having such a good time in between plates… but we certainly didn’t turn down the free round of drinks to compensate! Communication and service was what made this experience a pleasure! The food was still as incredible as it was before the move to the White Horse. I must add that the manager, I think his name is Ben, makes us feel like old friends each time we visit, we love it! Keep up the great work guys! The owners must be very proud, and so they should be

Lovely meal out with my son, brilliant service by all staff. Very friendly and loved the 90s music they where playing.

We had a lovely evening. Staff were great and food was lovely. Haddock was so nice and a good size and the pie was good quality ingredients. Definitely going back. Service was great we had a later table on Saturday evening so wasn't many people in the restaurant which we didn't mind.

Cannot recommend the food enough, very nice and good quality/presentation. Only point letting them down was the attention to meeting customers and time between seating and asking for drinks. Needs bit of adjustment. Having said this I will be visiting again for another try.

Last Wednesday , my wife daughter and myself, went to Ellenders thd food was delicious we all had something different but all commented how nice the meals were . Piping hot well presented main courses and the sweets were amazing!!!! The atmosphere is good service is very good nothing is ever too much trouble and my wife and daughter has the cheesecake which was a little bit too much for them but the staff provided little boxes to take what they couldn't eat home and the 24% discount off food is most welcome at this time of year all in sll very satisfied customers and can't wait till we go again
