We went to Huckleberry's Bar and Grill on Sunday 15th Jan 2023. We visited Lincoln for a break, for my partners birthday. We went there for his birthday meal and I can't even tell you hiw nice it was. From greeting us at the entrance to saying goodbye. The staff especially Freya were so nice, happy, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the food and drinks. She couldn't do enough for us and clearly loves her job. It just made a nice change, as there are not many places like this left. We had ribs and the Hill Billy burger, which were all amazing. The service was very quick too.

Staff very friendly and efficient we are regulars on a Sunday ,we usually have the Roast Lunch which we always find to be of a very good quality.

Absolutely amazing! second time eating here and the staff are amazing! make you feel so welcomed and had many laughs and the food is wonderful!

My partner decided to treat me to a night out here after seeing the menu online at the restaurants own site. On arrival we discovered that the menu had been drastically reduced from what was advertised due to the new year and dishes we were looking forward to, specifically the rack of ribs and the lasagne were no longer available. In fact almost half the dishes had been removed. We went with a starter which was lovely. We both had BBQ Chicken wings, which were amazing. Mains however were a different story. I had the Steak & Ale pie with winter vegetables. The pie tasted burnt and it came with carrots, broccoli (looking pretty limp and sorry for itself and parsnips (a personal dislike). Had I known there were parsnips I’d have asked them to be removed. My partner had the Mediterranean Grilled Chicken thighs with Koffman fries and dressed salad. What it didn’t mention was the HUGE portion of olives which came with it. Since the smell and taste of the olives was overwhelming and she intensely dislikes them this went a long way towards ruining the dish. The salad was drenched in dressing and the chicken was underdone. The meal was pretty much inedible as a result. If you’re going to put something like olives, an acquired taste, in the dish then please at least say so in the menu. After the disappointing mains we didn’t stay for the desert, the menu for which was similarly reduced from what was advertised. The waitress passed our comments on to the kitchen staff but not to the manager so when we came to pay he had no idea what had happened. He knocked the price of our drinks off the bill…a John Smiths and a coke, but we still paid for two disappointing meals. On the whole, really disappointing overall.

Excellent food, portion size for the 32 hour brisket should be bigger given the cost. It didn't seem like a large portion given that's what was ordered. Do understand it's not a cheap cut of meat which I guess could be the reason.

Really disappointed there was no steak on the menu. This seemed to be an issue of some standing, and for a restaurant that has its reputation based largely on its steaks, people with bookings really should have been advised.

Excellent service, we were made to feel very welcome, and my 4 year old son just loved all the extra attention he got. The food was delicious and such a fabulous atmosphere. Thanks we will be back!

Great service but the chicken skewers were over cooked and dry unfortunately The burger was also dry

A little disappointed that steak wasn’t on the menu but we was persuaded by the manager, to try the brisket. They didn’t disappoint!! Beautiful meal and great value. Will be back Again!

Pros:Friendly staff, fairly fast service. Cons: food was bland, cold food the was sent back to be reheated. Food was expensive given the quality. Soggy, frozen veg, chips had the texture of reheated, dry. ‘Salad leaves’ was a bit of iceberg. Wouldn’t come back. No atmosphere, very quiet given the time of evening.

The food was sumptuous. Had the brisket and it literally melted in my mouth Rebecca was our server, and was a absolute delight
