we had lunch on Sunday 5 adults 4 children i had the chicken in red wine sauce which i sent back it was a chicken thigh and a tiny drumstick this part of the chicken is all bone and the cheapest part of the chicken.i have been to your restaurant a few times,and the food has been good,our bill was a £115 any good restaurant would not have charged me for my meal,mrs gilling

i think jumbo city is the best Chinese in Liverpool the staff are amazing i always take my 2 children which could be a bit stressful but the staff are really good with them the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection i would recommend people visit jumbo city you wont be disappointed

I recommend San Carlo if you want to (re)discover true Italian food in a nice atmosphere. We had a familiar lunch on Sunday in San Carlo and it was perfect. Italian of origin, my family likes true Italian flavours so we ordered pasta, wine and desserts. It was not extravagant, it was just what we like: authentic Italian food and quality of ingredients. The staff are very warm and most of them speak Italian which has been much appreciated by my parents, always happy to discuss things in their mother tongue.

Went for a meal here tonight with 5 friends. Have to say it was the best meal I have had in a long time (and I eat out A LOT!). We all chose different things to try, I had the peppered seared beef to start = amazing (and a large portion too)/ I then had linguine with king prawns, chilli and garlic with olive oil which was also equally amazing. Each one of us were surprised at the size of the meals and how gorgeous they were. HIGHLY recommend here. Many thanks to the chef - you are fab. Will be back soon,

look, I know a thing or two about curries,after all I originated from Bradford, We called at Maharaja on 28/06/11. ordered a sheek kabab for myself, we actually shared it.by heck it was rather nice.infact it was succulent and wonderful.not deep fried as some restaurant do.the curries,a beef and chicken, well, hefty portions for a start. tasted delightful,meat well cooked and fell apart in your mouth,nans all fresh.must try the chili nan..its good..now the hygiene, excellent..,everything and everywhere especially clean and tidy, staff could not do enough to make the dinning experience a welcoming change,well worth what we paid for the meal.the beer was good as well. .enjoy..we will visit it again the next time were in L/Pool.(living in Harrogate now)

Visited on it's opening week when we would accept teething problems but we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food and service and furthermore the price. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

Absolutely awful. So disappointed. I took my boyfriend here for a birthday celebration, I was told when I booked it was a meal and entertainment in a cosy relaxed environment. I was disgusted with the place. Masking tape all over the place covered holes in the floor, tacky, cold unwelcoming decor. Wobbly tables, unfriendly staff. And it gets worse...... We arrived and we're greeted by staff who were too busy (or just couldnt be bothered) to make any conversation, we were ushered to the bar and told to order a drink and wait to be seated. We were then taken to our (old, wobbly) table 2 mins later which was behind a large bright red painted pillar blocking our view of the so-called 'stage'. A few mins later a waitress dumped a menu on our table and rather carlessly told us the soup was tomato. Another waitress then took our order. The starter came no more than 3 mins later (so was obviously not freshly prepared) My partner had the soup which he described as 'watered down heinz'. It was a pitiful amount too. As we were eating the staff we're standing aroung giggling and texting, making for a very unpleasant atmosphere. During this time the bar was gradually filling up with streams of women dressed in tutu's, devils horns, cowboy outfits.....obviously the tackiness of the venue draws plenty of hen nights. We were starting to understand why we had been rushed through - it was clearly going to be a busy night for hens. No more than 5 mins after our starter was whipped away our meals turned up. This was where it took a serious downturn. Very undercooked veg, cold plates, poor presentation, awful food. My partner had 'cajun chicken' which was basically poached chicken swimming in a watery tomato sauce. There was nothing 'cajun' about it, and was very dry and tasteless. His meal was accompanied by 'roast potatoes' - one potato, cut in half and by the look of it's wrinkly appearance had been roasted the day before and hastily reheated. My lamb was ok, but as a amateur cook at home I genuinely could have cooked a better meal myself. And I'm no Nigella. We were then asked if we wanted more drinks, as I was deliberating on what to have the waitress interruped and abruptly said 'same again?' This seemed like more of an instruction than a question as before I could look at my partner to see if he was happy with this she had left! My glass of wine then arrived......in a half pint tumbler. Yes. I know. I couldn't believe it either. It just seemed that it couldnt get any worse. But then my partner went to the toilet. You don't expect to find urine and wet paper towels all over the floor in a restaurant, especially when you are one of the very few males in the building, it should have been gleaming. It was disgusting. Expected perhaps at 3am in a nightclub, but in a restaurant? He then popped outside for a quick smoke only to find a member of staff pulling up with a carload full of 'Bargain Booze' carrier bags! And to think we were being charged £3.30 for a pint of lager and £4.70 for a glass of wine served in a tumbler!!!!! Wishing I had kept my original booking in Puschka on Rodney Street, we then ordered 2 banoffi pies from a 'desert' menu! Just another sign of the management failures. (We were tempted to ask them to go easy on the sand.) By the end of this we still hadn't seen/heard any entertainment and the paprty poppers, screeching women and flying balloons were beginning to irritate. I do feel that when I booked our table the week before asking for a table for 2 the woman I spoke to should have had the decency to let us know we would be sat in the middle of what turned out to be 4 separate hen partys. But then I guess the £35 a head was just too tempting for them, I can only imagine that they don't get many repeat customers and probably need every customer they can rip off to keep them going. £87 for the sub standard food and 2 drinks each was just ludicrous. The only conclusion I can draw from them still being open is that the majority of their customers being on some sort of binge drinking celebration helps them diguise the fact the food is terrible, the venue is old, tacky and run down and the staff just don't care. As for the entertainment, well, I can't comment as we didn't stay long enough to find out. We just wanted out as soon as possible. So I politely explained our disappointment to the manager who instantly refused to do anything for us, as apparently we knew what we were getting into when we booked! Yes, this is what she told me! So it was MY fault I hadn't booked a decent restaurant! Not a mistake I will make again. And I will be making sure friends, family, acquaintances, work collegues and possibly strangers I pass in the street all know to steer well clear of this place.

I'm sorry this is a customer who had a duck dish but ended up with food poisoning and have been of work since last Friday after having my meal on Thursday night but now getting advice from the Environment Department.

Cannot recommend despite using Ego for 2 years, last night got small chicken leg in place of chicken supreme and paid £11.45 for it,asked for Moroccan Fish stew and got some mussels and chickpeas, tasteless £12.95 asked for manager no go complained to staff, waste of time.Will not be back, or my friends either.

Takeaway - Cooking oil that the pops were fried in needed changing. Onion bhaji and seekh kebab undercooked and too spicy. There was a hair in the raita. Currys very bland and absolutely swimming in oil. Pilau rice grey and tasteless. Naan straight out of the packet. Disgusting - never again.

I would not recommend this restaurant in a million years! The food was awful. It definitely was not freshly cooked and it had very little flavour. One member of our party had to send back their starter as there was no meat on the pigeon and my husband had to send back his steak twice as they couldn't cook it as he had asked for, medium-rare. We did politely complain to the manager, but she was rude and advised us that the steak was cooked correctly and it was us that didn't know what medium-rare was!! I have never begrudged paying for a meal as much as I did here. Never ever go there. It's a waste of money and a waste of your time.

Brilliant Restaurant and food, the interior design is just stunning

Have eaten at the Chung Ku on several occasions, last time there was with my in-laws, family anniversary 20 adults and children. Had a fantastic banquet, staff were very friendly and service was excellent.

Great location, and very friendly staff. We had the moussaka and it was delicious, you know why this place has been going for years. Home made, fresh quality food. Worth the price and definitely going here again

Was staying at the Hilton recently when over for a united game. went to Yee Rah for a meal with my girlfriend. We both had the Spicy Udon Noodles. It was one of the nicest meals I've ever had! I'd actually revisit Liverpool for another meal! 10 out of 10!

Visited for the first time on saturday, 28th May after finding this on sugarvine. We got there for 5.30pm so decided to go for the £13.95 two course special menu, with free drink. It was absolutely gorgeous, mussels and asparagas to start, both cooked to perfection, then fillet steak and duck, which was devine. Polished off with a bottle of the house wine at £8.95 it was great value. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the decor was lovely. I would definately recommend it and can't wait to go again the next time we are back in Liverpool.
