Dined recently with 5 adults and 2 youngsters great place, views terrific particularly as sun set, ambiance great, friendly helpful staff and the food was terrific by any 4 star standards, well presented, beautifully cooked and just enough not to overface you. Scallops starter was lovely as was the foie gras and the beef, lamb and lobster were really good, venison had an unusual texture and was classed ok but would not have it again, very good night out at a fair price for the high quality repast. Will go again in a couple of weeks.

just ordered bolognese 30mins ago. it was tasteless. seriously. it has a smell of brocolli as well. never ever going back

we can't say anything about the food as we didn't get to taste any....my husband and i went to munro's for a meal and we were turned away,told you had to book first..the bar-made didn't even check the book nor did she even ask us if we would like to book for another day..we were made to feel very unwelcome and we didn't finish our drinks. very poor

A regular diner at 60 Hope Street, decided to go with family and try for myself this well talked about eatery. Very over rated.... Staff had very little knowledge of what they were serving. Top end prices with no frills service. Back to 60 Hope Street it is... Views great, but an eatery cannot maintain a reputation on views alone. If you must try it, juts pop into the bar for a drink see the view and eat somewhere else. Overall rating 5.5/10, that is being generous....

Excellent fish and chips, served by a friendly and efficient waitress. Looking forward to another visit to try their other fish meals. The restaurant is clean, stylish, attractive and relaxing. The best fish and chips I've had in Merseyside and my favourite plaice in town!

Went to IL FORNO tonight and have to say i was disappointed. After reading rave reviews, I found quite over-rated. They had run out of lobster rosotto and the waitor was so pushy, constantly asking us whether we wanted 'extras'. He did not offer us olive oil or parmesan with the pasta which was rather dry. We had prawns to start and the crutons in it were a bit stale/chewy. Pilcillionos much better for a nice Italian in Liverpool.

I went to bistro jacques and I honestly didn't enjoy the food. I suppose if u went for the deals during the week then the food would equal the price but paying full price it just isn't worth it

The food here is the best I have had in a very long time. We had two courses each and ate every bite. I can not fault the food or the service. I would recommend this restaurant and I have been doing so to anyone who will listen. I can not wait to return.

My friend and I dined in the restaurant quite by chance last night (10th April) for pre theatre dinner. The food was very good and excellent value. The staff were very friendly and very attentive which is very rare, and the restaurant was buzzing. Thanks for making our evening a good one, keep it up !

There are very few restaurants in Liverpool that offer vegetarian food beyond the standard 'roasted veg' - however, Etsu is fabulous and incorporates a range of vege food as part of their standard menu. We have been to Etsu twice in the past week - they serve tasty, fresh, beautifully cooked food with a really well chosen menu of meat, vege and fish. I am honestly looking forward to going back.

I cannot recommend this restaurant, and will tell you why. We booked a table for lunch at 12.00 and were advised on the website to arrive 15 minutes early. We arrived at 11.45 and were shown to the lift by a very helpful concierge and arrived to be greeted by a spectacular view but no staff. After a couple of minutes a young man appeared and said we would have to go back downstairs and wait in the foyer until 12.00. We asked if we could wait in the bar area and enjoy the view. He said we could not as he was on his own but gave no other explanation. We returned to the ground floor with no intention of waiting for fifteen minutes in a cold foyer with no chairs. We expressed our disgust to the concierge who was very apologetic and offerred to book us in to another restaurant. We thanked her but declined her offer of help and went instead to the Chung Ku which also has a spectacular view across the mersey. We sent a letter of complaint to the manager but three months later have ot had the courtesy of a reply.

I went here for a late Sunday lunch. The menu had a great selection for a standard set menu. I went for the roast beef, the beef was amazing with great flavour the only niggle was that the roast potatoes tasted like they had been reheated and some of the vegetables were a little mushy, but the restaurant is very nice inside and i will revisit again!

This is a great little place, i have been coming here for years, the only down side is that they put way too much cheese on top of the main courses such as the lasagna/cannelloni and it is so hard to digest and there is no need for it, the food is delicious without it. I wouldn't say it was authentic italian - some of the past dishes are cooked within an inch of their lives, bit for the price you pay the food is hearty and the atmosphere is excellent.
