This is one for special occasions, really amazing interior. Food on the expensive side, though a member of our party said that the fish and chips were "the best he'd ever had" not bad going from a man who lives in a seaside town!

This place is pure class. Love going in after a hard nights work to have a laugh and eat some quality food. Thanks Bash, see you in Il Forno sometime

At last an indian restaurant worth a mention. From start to finish, Mayur is excellent. The decor/ambience, the service, and the quality of food were exceptional. The range of dishes is very extensive and I would definitely recommend the set menu. If you want a fantastic meal in beautiful surroundings, then Mayur is for you.

We visited Piccolino's as a treat at the end of a lovely weekend spent in Liverpool, and were really pleased we had. The food was beautiful - I had a pasta dish that was cooked to perfection. Despite the restaurant being really busy the entire time we were in there, the atmosphere was excellent and the tables were large enough to cope with the masses of plates and glasses we ended up with! The service was great too. I would definitely recommend Piccolino's to anyone looking for quality food in a great setting.

The best Indian cuisine I have ever encountered and I would recommend it to anyone. The service, atmosphere and surroundings didn't disappoint either.

Took time out from the mathew street festival to eat some proper food - great choice of restaurant! Although obviously busy on a bank holiday Monday the service was both efficient and polite. The olives in dressing and focaccia for starters were freshly prepared and extremely tasty. The pizzas - Margarita and Quattro Staggioni - were crisp and authentic with just the right amount of topping - almost the best since Naples! To finish, espressos and grappa. Total bill including a half litre of house red was £31. Will return soon.

We had a wonderful time at Mayur and the food was exceptional and made the night. We had the buffet menu and were therefore able to try a number of different dishes including some that I wouldn’t ordinarily have chosen. I heartily recommend the Aloo Tikki and the Chicken Tikka was to die for! The restaurant itself is very classy with tasteful décor and the staff were very efficient and friendly. I’ll definitely be eating here again - in fact I’ve already booked my next visit.

Been twice now - both times excellent food and service. Cannot fault this place. Always lots of people but you never have to wait long for your food/drinks. Even inbetween lots of big tables our table for two felt quiet! Always made to feel important no matter how much you spend etc.

Mayur

We went to the Mayur last week not really knowing what to expect. But having just watched Anjum Anand "Indian Cooking Made Easy" advocating the use of high quality ingredients and spices this is what this restaurant is all about - quality. The food is delicious, surroundings plush and innovative. The service was a little over zealous but better that than lack of service. This is usually outside of my price range for a mid-week eatery but fantastic for a special treat. Give it a try - this is REAL Indian food.

My boyfriend and I visited the restaurant earlier this week to wish each other goodbye before we head off to uni. It certainly won't be a night we'll forget in a hurry! The service, atmosphere and the quality of the food were faultless, not the mention the friendliness of the staff, very reasonable prices and the incredible floor show. The first three attributes alone would have given us a wonderful dining experience, but Sapporo gives you so much more than its fresh, delicious food - a fabulous night out. It really is the best restaurant in Liverpool - and very possibly beyond.

This restaurant has to be the best Mexican restaurant in the UK. I have eat at Savina on many occasions and have not been left disappointed. Excellent meal and excellent service.

The prices are reasonable for the town centre but hey you pay for what you get. and hey what you get is the best. WHAT A PLACE TO EAT. I recommend it to all Indian lovers midge and Ali has created an atmosphere second to none. The opening night was packed out with celebs who have gone back since just ask to see the guest book and leave a little log. food is out of this world. not a lot off people know about this place as yet but i would advise to book in advance as it is getting busier every day. one you go there you will want to go back. i go to the there other restaurant the raj in woolton village and the takeaway in hunts cross but this place is much better. all i can say is go and see for yourself.

have been out to this restaurant a couple of times now with friends, and have to admit how impressed i am. the food is fresh and tasty (you can tell they dont use microwaves!).. you can see the chefs cooking away in the background. the service really is outstanding. the manager and waiters seem to take your dining experience seriously, professionalism sadly lacking in restaurants these days, but definitely not here

Great stuff! What a find! A bit off the beaten track but only 1 min from Bold Street. Starters and main courses were well presented and very tasty. We had organic Chicken from Wales and Black Beef which didn't need a steak knife as it just melted. If you want to make your money go further and dine in cosy surroundings with genuinely warm staff (they even offered me reading glasses as I had forgotten mine) this is the restaurant for you.
