Souvla – Liverpool City CentreLovely location and welcome. Service was great but food was very average for the price!
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreOur 2nd visit to Souvla on a trip to Liverpool and again the food and service was excellent. Worth the slight walk out of town for the quality food and drinks and great service, even though we were running late for our booking they accommodated us with no issues.

Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreExcellent scouse Excellent pizza Excellent service Excellent value
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreMa Egertons was the perfect choice for a pre-theatre meal to kick off my mum’s 85th birthday celebrations. Located right behind the Empire Theatre, this historic Liverpool pub is bursting with theatrical character, vintage charm, and nostalgic warmth. The absolute highlight was their spectacular, authentic bowl of traditional Scouse. It is a rich, deeply savoury stew served with proper crusty bread and pickled red cabbage at a great price. My mum absolutely loves it and declares it the best in Liverpool—her seal of approval is not easily won! The staff are all exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm-hearted. If you want an authentic taste of Liverpool, brilliant comfort food, and a warm welcome before a show, this legendary pub is an absolute must-visit. We will 100% be back!

Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreSuch a great pub. Welcoming and perfect for pre theatre food/drink.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreLove it in here, not a big menu but what there is is fantastic, pizzas, scouse, salads. I had warm chicken salad, hummus and pitta bread, my husband had a bowl of scouse , red cabbage and crusty bread. We never left a crumb!
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreAtmosphere was great! Drink service was quick, food service was slow. Chicken Wings hard. Main courses cold. Was in a rush so literally didn’t have time to mention the above. Sorry, not great really.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreFood was really nice, no delays and attentive service bearing in mind we had three youngsters with us. But very expensive. Bottle each of non alcoholic cider and non alcoholic beer, £15!!.
