Whats Cooking – Liverpool City Centre25th wedding anniversary, staff, food, of the highest standard, the ambience best ever, we as a family will certainly be attending again, one word describes Pierre? fantastic service
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreGood place for real South Indian flavour. Especially vegetarian food in good, like home made as in South India. Will definitely go back there, because there's none so good in Merseyside for that kind of taste.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreOne of the best nights I have ever had. The atmosphere and music was great and the church interior was breathtaking. Be prepared for lots of dancing to the Cuban beats. Well worth a visit!!
Alma De Cuba – Liverpool City CentreHaving visited on numerous occasions at different times of day and night over the past 3 years, I can confidently say that this is my favourite restaurant. The food is always wonderfully fresh and perfectly cooked with an excellent selection available. The service is unpretentious, friendly and efficient unlike some of the more pricey restaurants I have visited and the bustling atmosphere just adds to the wonderful ambience.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreI went for my birthday night out with my girl friends very recently. Knowing that we always have a good night out wherever we go - but this was the best night out by far as agreed by everyone. The atmosphere was amazing - the chef's delightful and extremely friendly and the food out of this world!!! We had a really good laugh and have already booked ourselves in for another night. Most definitely the best restaurant in Liverpool. Try it!!!!!!
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreThis is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in the UK. Everything was amazing. The food, surroundings and staff. I have been many times since and I cannot fault the place. Value for money the restaurant is outstanding. For 4 people having 3 courses, wine, beer and soft drinks the bill was 90 pounds, which we couldn't complain about. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreLa Vina is second to none the food is amazing and service impeccable
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreThe Maharaja seems to be one of Liverpool's best kept secrets. In one way, now I've discovered it, I'd like it to stay that way, so that it can maintain its wonderful standards and unhurried ambience. But on the other hand, I'm concerned that being a little off the beaten track it's missing out on many potential customers, and possibly may struggle to survive. The food is SO DIFFERENT - but oh SO GOOD. The first time we ate there, it was with four friends all of whom had been to Kerala and they all said it was so reminiscent of their times there. With the help of the ever so friendly staff, we chose a range of veggie and non-veggie (mainly fish) dishes and just shared them all. Everything was wonderful, but just to mention a few. The pre-meal nibbles and freshly prepared pickles (not a giant poppadom or dollop of gloopy mango chutney in sight). The Keralan fish. The squid massala. The fried aubergine, I could go on. We ate well, enjoyed a variety of flavours and textures. We also drank beer and wine and the bill still only came to about £18 each. Try the Maharaja for yourself, I guarantee you won't be disappointed - then tell your friends.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City Centrethe food was the best ever words can not explain it just go and find out 4 your self
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreGreat restaurant, food is excellent. Tried the Staff special which was one of the best Indian dishes I have ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this place.
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThis restaurant is amazing, the service was second to none. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant. The bar is also great although a little pricey. At weekends you will find a live band on although not too loud which is a welcome when dining out.
St John Restaurant at the Sir Thomas Hotel – Liverpool City CentreI have eaten here on a regular basis since it opened and have recently noticed that the usually high standards are slipping. Not sure why this is happening, but it is disappointing as it all started so promisingly. There is no doubting its popularity. Its location, ambience, food and prices all add up and have made it one of the culinary hotspots in the city centre. It is just a pity that some staff are not as helpful and efficient as they could be. Also, the management has recently introduced some bizarre policies. For example, you can no longer order an aperitif at the bar without having to pay for it there and then. Another irritation is on recent visits waiters consistently over filling wine glasses and then asking if we want another bottle.
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI have been to the PTI quite a few times now and although the decor and ambience are okay the quality of the food is only average. The pickles that you get with poppadoms are very good but I have had Chicken Madras twice and both times it has been very watery and thin. On my last visit I had Chicken Sag Wala and this was pretty bland. The other people I was with all had different meals but you couldnt really tell becaues they were all the same consistency and taste. The rice is nice and they also do large bottles of cobra.
A Passage To India – Liverpool City CentreExtremely friendly, great atmosphere, delicious food (try the pork fillet with black pudding and pears AND then the white chocolate baked cheesecake - mmmm!) We'll be back!
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, you don't have to wait too long either. The ribs are fab!
Wongs Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreMe and my partner went to this restaurant for our anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food was PIPING hot, and the service was great. The only down side was that we would have preferred a table by the wall, instead of in the middle because we felt a bit 'in the way'. Good place though!
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreExcellent food and service. Warm atmosphere and not rushed so you are able to enjoy the food!
Villa Romana – Liverpool City Centre2 courses plus a piece of home-made dessert, £12.50. Available until 6.30pm Wednesday and Thursday and until 5.30pm Fridays (excludes Bank Holidays).
