A lovely experience, run by Selam who cooks everything fresh and all very ethnic; simple, good food that is different from anything else you'll have had before. Food all served on Njeera (sour dough pancakes) and eaten by hand; a lovely peaceful coffee ritual and Selam a lovely warm welcoming woman; inexpensive too

Visited on Tuesday 3rd jan 2012 and i have to say we were pleasantly surprised not only was the food delish but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, We had such a lovely evening at your restaurant and will be visiting again, garlic mushrooms, kleftiko, and chicken ouzo all yum! My (very new) husband and I decided that we wanted to do something small and intimate for our special day... just our closest friends and family, no big do with discos or children's entertainers.We looked at a few places to go for our quiet meal, and Rueters on Hoghton looked the nicest, and once we had sampled the food, we were sure that this was the place we wanted.The day was absolutely perfect, with owners that couldn't do enough to make the day as special as we wanted. The food was beyond amazing and the staff were fab, making sure that everyone had drinks and a good time. They even made extra effort with my 86yr old Nan who is unfortunately wheelchair bound and was unable to transfer to a regular chair, and our pesky 2 year old, making her a child's meal and making sure she was able to be seated with us at the head table!!I would recommend this restaurant to absolutely anyone and everyone, I know hubby and I will certainly be back for regular visits!!

A great change from the 'pseudo' Indian food generally available. Having visited Kerala on a number of occasions the food here is, of course very authentic and flavoursome. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I used to live a short walk from their original location, now a little bit further away but still worth the trip!!

We visited Zyka a couple of years ago whilst passing through Formby and decided to go New Years Eve, the food was really nice, a set menu for the holiday but our waiter stated if there was nothing on the set menu we could choose from the normal menu, the staff were very friendly and accomodating and it was a great evening, cant wait to go back.

I have visited the Crown of India twice now, once on a Saturday in November and also on new years eve. I will start with the good point- the food is very nice. The service however is dreadful. the first time i thought it was a one off which is why is returned, the second time was even worse. Booked a table for 7.30 and arrived on time, wasn't seated until 8.10pm and was not offered a drink whilst i waited or a menu to read. we had to ask several time if we could order and finally our order was taken at 9pm. We didn't get plates with the poppadoms or cutlery with the starters (that arrived at 9.30). Our main meals came out at apx 10pm and the 4 year old that was with us was very tired and hungry by this point. Constantly asking to order drinks, that then fail to arrive. charged for 6 rounds of drinks when only had 4 rounds, would not refund for the two rounds of drinks. not one apology for the fact that we had waited so long for everything. will never return or recommend.

We had booked a table at this restaurant for 7:30 on new years eve for 15 people.when we arrive we couldn't even get through the door ! The place was grossly overbooked and although our table had been booked since October and deposit paid we had to walk out in disgust after waiting over half an hour amongst other people who had booked tables. We wont be going again and they have lost 15 regular customers

I wanted somewhere to eat in Formby and this is quite a long way away. The map isn't accurate so finding it was difficult. We arrived at 2pm and ordered straight away. It was nearly 3pm by the time our food arrived. We had a 2 yr old, so keeping him happy for that length of time was a challenge. There was nothing wrong with the food, but, by the time it arrived we were all so hungry that we would've eaten anything. We won't be going back.

Ruined New Year.Booked table for three around three weeks ago to make sure we got in OK. Got there on time and stood up in reception area near bar for 20 mins in a crowd of people, some of whom had been waiting three quarters of an hour without so much as a drink. Tried to speak to waiter numerous times who did his best to ignore me.Averted his eyes at all times and mumbled something about waiting for tables to empty before taking another takeaway order. Walked out. Ordered a takeaway from Ajmeer Tandoori Rainhill (very good).What a way to treat customers.No apology , no drink, no meal. will never go again.

Fabulous food Egg fried rice is gorgeous But it's all very Yummy Without a doubt the best takeaway in Liverpool

have a sit down meal here and you will be in love with it but have a take away and you will hate it.. food is amazing service is great when you sit in but when you take away then you will wait for about an hour for your food, and this is on collection because they don't deliver.

we stumbled upon this jewel unexpectedly. the service was second to none and the food was delightful. we were lucky enough to get a booking for new years eve 2011. cant wait to devour the amazing foods on offer. highly recommend to all family and friends :D

the best Italian restaurant in Liverpool

Have been going to lings for as long as i can remember, recently celebrated my engagement party there it was amazing. Everybody loved the food and we had the best night. Never had a bad meal from lings. Chinese new year is a must! x

I've been to the Cafe Rouge on quite a few occasions and the food was excellent...staff are very attentive and there is a good friendly atmosphere !

Have been to the Supper Club twice now. Got to be honest and say that the food hasn't been up to much either time, although the staff were always helpful and welcoming. The concept of live soul music after your meal is good, but I don't think the food justifies the prices at all. Wont be going back unless somebody else is paying...
