Host – Liverpool City Centreprobably the most disgusting meal served to me ever ! I went on the 11/7/2011 which was on the buffet night but ordered off the menu. I was convinced the chef had just put buffet food on my plate and charged me menu price ! I could not eat any of it, it was like every spice possible had been thrown over my lamb skewer in a pile of slop with an extra bowel of it for good measure! I had to take it home so as to not upset the chef, hello ? what was I thinking of ! Sorry I not send it back but it was a birthday and did not want to spoil it. I sent an email of complaint the next day but that got ignored.
Magic Spices – WallaseySO Salsa is so good - the tapas are all beautifully cooked and presented; the staff are friendly and attentive, and it's great value for money with a warm atmosphere - go see.
So Salsa – Crosby"Food is amazing, the service was great and the staff were very attentive, We will definitely be visiting again"
So Salsa – CrosbyHave visited the Fat Italian on numerous occasions now and have tried most things on the menu and it really is a fabulous restaurant. The service is excellent with a really relaxing atmosphere and the chef is obviously very talented as the food is always beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Recently made the mistake of trying out a city restaurant (San Carlos) thinking it might be more special, shouldn't have bothered as it wasn't a patch on Fat Italian. Highly recommend it and will return for many years to come! Well done to all the staff!
The Fat Italian – CrosbyJust got back from yet another fantastic night at Mezze. The food is consistently of the highest quality and tastes wonderful. The service is spot on, you feel welcomed and comfortable immediately. The prices are always very reasonable. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It is a true gem. If you haven't tried it then please do. Thank you Mezze.
Mezze – WallaseyDropped into Dr Duncans with some old rugby-playing friends of 40+ years who meet weekly to enjoy real ale in various different Liverpool pubs. 2nd round was 7 pints of Cains FA - definitely "0ff" - tasted and smelt of vinegar, so they were taken back to the bar with a polite request for an alternative beer. Bar staff not interested. Manager announced there was nothing wrong with the beer. Total lack of interest of the fact that 7 guys who had been drinking beer for over 40+ years were concerned about the beer's quality. It wasn't as if we were after a a free pint - all 7 of the returned glasses of "FA were full, less a sip! The way our request was dealt with was very poor. It was a "take it or leave it" approach. Needless to say, we all left for the nearby Crown & Mitre which is a GENUINE Real Ale Pub. Dr Duncan's is Cains' Flagship pub but the staff running it did not demonstrate much interest in customer satisfaction or competence in keeping a good beer cellar. Sorry Cain's. Your beer is great but your "front of house" pub is not doing you any favours!
Dr Duncans – Liverpool City CentreHighly Recommend this excellent coffee shop owned by the brilliant owners of the previous Bella Roma. You need to visit this cafe and experience the freshly prepared food at INCREDIBLY competitive prices.
Caffe Roma – St.Helenswe had lunch on Sunday 5 adults 4 children i had the chicken in red wine sauce which i sent back it was a chicken thigh and a tiny drumstick this part of the chicken is all bone and the cheapest part of the chicken.i have been to your restaurant a few times, and the food has been good, our bill was a £115 any good restaurant would not have charged me for my meal, mrs gilling
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreDespite not being our "local" in terms of distance, Ambuja is the Indian we frequent the most, whether it's dining in or ordering a takeaway. The food and service is always perfect, and the range of freshly prepared meals are fantastic. You can order your traditional favourites such as Korma, Dhansack and Jalfrezi, but Ambuja also offer signature dishes such as Mishti Law and Sunali Machlie (Trout). We've never been let down by the rich flavours of all the meals we've tried, and the presentation of each meal is like something out of MasterChef at times. You will always leave feeling full, but not over-stuffed!
Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallMy husband and I eat here on a Friday night. The service and food were excellent will definitely be back
Chaba Chaba Thai Restaurant – Mossley HillI have been to plenty of Indian restaurants but the TAJ is the best, i've only eaten in about 20 times i usually order a take-away. the food is exactly the same as eating in.i am a very fussy eater i don't like any fat at all on my food and i am never disappointed,go once and try but if you do you wont go anywhere else,BRILLLL.
Tandoori Mahal Restaurant – Wallaseyi think jumbo city is the best Chinese in Liverpool the staff are amazing i always take my 2 children which could be a bit stressful but the staff are really good with them the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection i would recommend people visit jumbo city you wont be disappointed
Jumbo City – Liverpool City CentreWas a regular diner at L'Alouette in Lark Lane, sadly closed due to lease expiration. Always enjoyed our dining there due to the great food that Dave presented and I am delighted that he has found his niche in his new venue 'CAVEAU' where he continues to delight with great dishes.
Caveau – WooltonAfter booking a table 4 weeks in advance for a big celebration we were phoned the week before and told that they could not honour our booking. The reason was they don't take large bookings on a Friday. This was after 2 phone calls and actually calling into the place to confirm. They have no customer service ability or sensibility. A lot of our party had been numerous times before but will not be returning.
Elif – AigburthAfter being to Tony's Italian Restaurant many times, me and my family have enjoyed the beautiful food & atmosphere, Tony & Jayne are fantastic hosts & it's the best Italian restaurant in Southport, as far as were concerned. We would not go anywhere else, the service is great and Tony & Jayne make you feel very welcome. Tony makes the best food i have tasted in Southport. I would highly recommend you to try Tony's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria.
Tony’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria – SouthportI recommend San Carlo if you want to (re)discover true Italian food in a nice atmosphere. We had a familiar lunch on Sunday in San Carlo and it was perfect. Italian of origin, my family likes true Italian flavours so we ordered pasta, wine and desserts. It was not extravagant, it was just what we like: authentic Italian food and quality of ingredients. The staff are very warm and most of them speak Italian which has been much appreciated by my parents, always happy to discuss things in their mother tongue.
San Carlo – Liverpool City Centre06/07/2011 Went to Surfers last night for a meal with my sister and her boyfriend. Service was excellent as usual. We all opted for the fillet steak rossini....... fabulous! Steaks just melted in the mouth. Well done Surfers. Keep it up!! Amazes me how so many people still haven't discovered this jewel in the crown of Wirral's restaurants. Don't miss out!!
