Fantastic restaurant for large bookings. A hungry group of us visited recently for breakfast and were absolutely delighted with the great service and outstanding food. The homemade hash browns are worth a visit alone!

Went to this restaurant with my wife on Saturday night - the food was really good, starters were oil/balsamic and bread, ribs and antipasto misto, mains were fillet steak and king prawn (surf and turf) and a bouillabaisse. The food couldn't have been better - excellent flavours and fresh. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The bill was reasonable and I felt that the venue was a good choice - I would definitely return. I suppose its the quality of the food that makes or breaks any restaurant - and this place was 'made' by the food I ordered. I would recommend this to all!!

I have been several times to Fat Mommas with different group's of friends and the standard is consistently excellent. The food is superb but most of all the welcoming atmosphere is what sells it. I shall be going yet again for my birthday. Jan

Ate at the grapes yesterday afternoon and have to say the food was awful! the starters we ordered were cold and there were hardly any main dishes available. Spoke to one of the managers and he was rude and very unhelpful, I won't be eating here again.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Service is impeccable! A Warm, friendly welcome by hard working staff! The food is beautiful! I'm personally not an Indian cuisine type of person but the food will win over anybody! The food is reasonably priced and you are treated like a member of the family! I cannot recommend a restaurant as highly as the Asiana!

Asiana – West Derby

its a shame the food and service didn't match the decor , such a fab place yo look at, just a shame the food wasn't up to the same standard. we don't think we will be returning.

I visited Prego New Years Eve 2010 with my partner 2 friends and our 2 toddlers. We ordered a bowl of olives and bread to start. 4 main courses of steak 3 with prawns 'surf and turf' There is a £4 difference if you order the steak with prawns. When the main arrived i was shocked at the stinginess of the prawns. I had 3 tiny prawns on my plate not worth eating. They still had that horrible brown line in the back of them which i can only assume is waste! We waited a good 5-10 mins for the side dish to accompany the steak by the time it arrived most of us had eaten at least half of the steak and one had almost all of it! When it did arrive it was one bowl of vegetables between 2. Nowhere near enough. The green beans were over cooked the potatoes were vile and the broccoli and carrots were cold. I normally prefer chips etc with a steak but we were not offered any alternatives upon ordering. We also ordered a bowl of pasta for the children to share which was ok. After our main we ordered 2 deserts of profiteroles. This consisted of 2 profiteroles yes 2!!! on a plate with a shot glass of cream. looked good but for £5 each I would expect more than 2! We also ordered the children a bowl of ice cream. Along with the food we had a glass of wine / coke / pint of fosters and a bottle of peroni. The bill come to £170. £85 per couple. A lot considering we left hungry!!! Very expensive for what you get. Not worth the hard earned money we paid for it. Low quality food. Mediocre service. No atmosphere. Disappointing new years eve and wasted money! Would definitely not recommend and I will definitely not be returning ever again. There are far too many lovely restaurants in Liverpool don't waste your money here!!

I visited the Monro with my husband on 30 December for their 2 course Early Bird special which is now £13.50. I have been there on two previous occasions for lunch when the food and service was excellent. However, this visit was disappointing. We were quickly shown to a table by the door and given menus. I ordered a bottle of white rioja. My order was taken but then the waitress returned and informed me they had sold out. Not a good start. I chose another bottle. We ordered our food and soon realised that we were not warming up. I asked the waitress if we could be moved somewhere warmer and she said they had been having problems with the heating but it was all sorted now and it should start to warm up. Unfortunately it did not. I went to inspect a nearby radiator which was stone cold. I pointed this out to a waitress and she moved us to a table nearer the centre of the room. All around us diners were sat in coats and scarves looking chilly. The food was delicious. We shared a starter of seafood linguine and mains of seabass and tbone steak. We then sat with empty plates for more than 20 minutes as staff whizzed by us and ignored our attempts to gain eye contact. I eventually managed to stop a waiter and asked him to clear our plates. We shared a dessert of sticky toffee pudding, again delicious. When we were given the bill, I mentioned the lack of heating to the waitress and also the poor service. She did apologise saying they had staffing issues and said she hoped i would return. I hope so too.

What a lovely experience - the food was delicious served in a really relaxed and informal setting by Marie who was a most gracious hostess. Although there were four adults in our party, we will definitely be returning with our children as there was a real sense of "family" and warmth in the place. Would readily recommend!

Not at all impressed. My wife and I went several times many years ago and really enjoyed it at the time. However, we recently went back for a family meal and the whole night was quite a disaster for a restaurant with such an apparent reputation. Both food and service was way below the standard expected from such an establishment. My Son's burger wasn't cooked properly and was extremely pink inside which wasn't good for a Kids meal. He just ate the chips and beans and when we told the waitress at the end of the meal the reason for him not eating the burger, she didn't seem at all interested. I wasn't looking for any money off at all, but a low cost gesture would have surely helped. Even an apology would have been something! As for the service, we had to ask several times for drinks that never seemed to arrive and we asked three times for my son's dessert before it eventually arrived. The dessert was just a simple ice cream cone which must have taken all of 30 seconds to make, so why we had to wait so long I'll never know. The place was about half full and there seemed to be plenty of staff working so there was absolutely no excuse for such poor service. We couldn't wait to get out of there at the end and even then we had to ask for the bill 2 or 3 times before that eventually arrived as well. As a customer, we felt completely ignored and under-valued. It wasn't the relaxed evening we were expecting and although the adult meals were OK, it didn't make up for the complete lack of service and undercooked kids meal. We felt it was a complete waste of money and we will not be returning again. It's a real shame, I have fond memories of going there when I was younger but it's clearly not as well managed now.

I can't believe the last comment is 2009!! I rediscovered the Bottle & Glass on my return to live in St Helens and have dined there many times. Service was friendly & excellent (slower at very busy times but I like not being rushed anyway!). If you cannot find anything that appeals on their large menu choice then you should stay home!! I've tried a variety of meals and all have been brilliant. Just off to book again for Sunday dinner ... ...

Visited the Asiana for the first time, very welcoming, polite and very informative about there wide selection of Indian dishes. Service was excellent and not over intrusive. Excellent ambience to the restaurant and the bill was reasonable too. Will definitely make this a restaurant one to visit more often.

I recently visited Alma De Cuba with a large group of friends the food was to die for and the service was fantastic. We all had a wonderful time although it was very cold and we had to leave our coats on which I must say this did spoil it a little!!! (It was -10 outside though so a little warmer inside!!!)
