Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreIve been here every year for my birthday with my family, Its cheap & the portions are huge! Lovely staff, Great restaurant!
Tokyou – Liverpool City CentreHurray....a bar with warm friendly staff and customers. Stylish and comfortable, definitely has the edge. Love the food, upstairs is very boutique feeling. And the music is excellent. Thank you a venue to feel 100% easy, and great value too.
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley HillSince our last visit the prices of some dishes have increased dramatically.£22.95 surf & turf? As a family we eat out a lot and I don't think the prices here are competitive, especially in view of the current economic climate. Food was ok, and served quickly by our very friendly and attentive waitress. However, the owner glared at us after we had mentioned the price increases and shortly after finishing our first drinks, asked us rather frostily "Do you WANT another drink?". We used to eat here quite regularly before the current ownership. We won't be going again.
Astoria – West Kirbywe have had lunch here quite a few times. The service is good, the food fast arriving and really tasty. They really seem to cater well for those of us that are taking lunch in a rush. I have tried many things on the menu and never been disappointed i don't know how they do it for the price.
Jasmine Tree Restaurant – SouthportWe went in for lunch. We arrived early within 20 minutes the place was packed always the sign of a good restaurant! The food was fine I had the obligatory spaghetti bolognese (something i always do to gauge an Italian restaurant before returning for something more adventurous.) The atmosphere good I would definitely return if only because the place felt special. The only draw back was the hike to the loo upstairs!
Casa Italia – SouthportVisited Wednesday night for my mothers birthday. Excellent service, excellent food and immaculate interior. The steak was the best I have ever tasted, one of our party asked for a pasta dish that wasn't on the menu which they made no questions asked and it was the best they had ever tasted, the lasagna came in an earthenware dish piping hot straight from the oven and again there was no complaints here it was outstanding. Will visit again when ever possible
Mamma Mia Pizzeria – SouthportVisited the Mayur as part of a party of nine last night and had a mixed experience. As almost everyone has stated, the food is excellent. The default dishes aren't very hot, but are very tasty and are made up with some great cuts of meat. Any dish on the menu can be 'fired-up' upon request for those of you who enjoy torturing rather than tantalising your tastebuds. The problem was the service. Every round of drinks had to be asked for twice and took a minimum of ten minutes to arrive. The host even joked about 'going outside to catch' a bottle of Cobra beer - not good! It also took the staff an hour to take our order. In contrast to the waiters - who were nowhere to be seen. the host wouldn't leave us alone and insisted on giving us his opinion of each and every dish that we were eating. I found this irritating - I'd come to enjoy the company of my friends, not to hear that the seabass goes really well with a big mug of tea. So all-in-all a frustrating visit. Will I go back simply because the food was so good?...good question. If the menu was of a similar price to other Indian restaurants in the city then definitely, but the higher prices and poor service makes me err on the side of staying away.
Mayur – Liverpool City CentreVisited on Saturday for my birthday. The view is spectacular and with food & service to match it really is a special occasion venue.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely fantastic restaurant the food is amazing we have been eating in mei mei for quite some time now as my brother was the person who introduced us to this place and he eats there every weekend for the dim sum menus, especially if you ask for their own in chinese. The chinese tea is the best ever, the crispy belly pork is a must either hot or cold. The staff are great and they will explain all their foods to you.
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreGood food, well cooked with fine ingredients probably the best meal i've eaten for a while (and i'm fussy!). the service was great and i felt unrushed so i could eat at my own pace. could not ask for better, i will be going back.
