Having had many fine meals here. We were a bit disappointed with the Bistro Xmas Menu. Not a single vegetarian option on it. I'm sure the chefs would knock us something up if we got there. . .But that is really not the point. With so many good venues now in Liverpool we will be taking our custom elsewhere this Christmas. Come on Hope Street....surely you can do better than that. Maybe some veggie and even Vegan options next year for me and my animal loving friends? ~Please~

Having visited once before and enjoyed the meal, albeit a little expensive, we were most disappointed on our last visit and will probably not return. Service staff very pleasant and things seemed reasonably paced until we'd finished our main courses when it took an age for the table to be cleared. Choice of desserts - as always in oriental restaurants were poor. My Crab & Prawn starter tasted of neither and resembled the texture of a cheap pork sausage. My battered duck main course was fatty. Pity!

Having eaten here on a few occasions the food is creme-de-la creme,it would be nice if the menu was changed,to see what these guys can really do,Adam as always way ahead as mine-host,keep up the good work guys.

what a place! looking for quality food at a very affordable price? then you can't lose here. in a word superb. book early on a Tuesday though,2 courses and a bottle of very drinkable house wine for £13.95? (red or white)great place for a first date,warm,relaxed and excellent staff. food is fresh,perfectly prepared,authentic,and just enough. my fave place in Liverpool now.

we used to dine in Esteban almost twice a week...Since Lady in Black is not very friendly to us we had to change are minds about eating in Est. God she is awful! Who does she think she is?Get a life woman!

Friendliness of staff very good, food was well cooked and pleasantly presented, lovely waiter - (Turkish Delight)

The beef & the soup were fab, the service and singer/artist were second to none, we would defo recommend and will defo return for mum's 80th!!!

As I don't dine out often, I like it to be something special when I do. And Neighbourhood fits the bill perfectly - accessible, imaginative, enjoyable food that I probably wouldn't have had the time or energy to cook for myself, served by staff who are kind and attentive but not overly so and who want you to enjoy your evening, and that includes the kids. And while the breakfasts are pricey, you won't need lunch and can probably save on therapy. A plate of Manhattan Eggs with a latte must be worth an hour in a psychiatrist's chair...or so I imagine, having tried only the Manhattan Eggs!

Overall the quality of the food was good but the service didn't match. They got our drinks order wrong and our food order and their attitude vaguely implied that it was us who had made the error. Our bill was also wrong! At which point we'd given up. We had to ask for drinks as we were left without any and ask about puddings as no one bothered once our mains had been cleared. This clearly hasn't happened to other reviewers so maybe it was an 'off' night! Not sure I'd go back though.

I have been here a few times now, with friends and family. The £3.50 carvery is fantastic value for money - Mon - Sat. I think it goes to £7 on Sundays. Usual 3 meat option with no extra slices no matter how nice you ask, but loads of roasties and veg etc ;-) Highly recommended...

I have been to Bistro Jacques on many occasions and I can 100% say that this is my favourite restaurant in Liverpool. The food is fantastic, full of flavour, plenty of it and very warming. Atmosphere, well having lived in Paris I can say it does give that Parisian Bistro feel. The service is excellent, staff are fabulous and the chef's are worth their weight in gold. To top it all off I am always amazed on how small the bill is at the end of meal! I was recommended this restaurant and I have in turn recommended this restaurant to my friends and people I know. I'm also pleased to have been able to recommend a restaurant that has now also turned out to be one of their favourites too. One piece of advice though...book in advance as this restaurant is very popular!

What a great little restaurant. Food is just fantastic and we only found it by chance, its tucked away on Aigburth Road close to the cricket club. Great atmosphere, close to all amenities, very relaxed and food was best we have tasted, will be returning and telling our friends about it. Highly recommended.
