Having originally frequented Quaglinos in the Terence Conran heydays when they had to start charging for the stolen iconic ashtrays - I was skeptical at returning. However I was pleasantly surprised on all fronts. A good sized bar upstairs for a pre dinner drink - expect to pay @ £10-£15 for a glass - but a good value )£19 set menu can balance out the expense. I had a delicious venison tartar to start followed by duck and couldn't resist the salted caramel brûlée for dessert. We were then reserved a seat at the down stairs bar, affording us a great view of the small stage where a DJ, singer and musicians began the entertainment from 10pm. A great place to go for a one stop shop for a whole evening of entertainment.

I must correct you. Ana Capri is a very good ITALIAN Restaurant. Not Indian as you state above. Ana Capri is well worth a visit if you are in London. Regards Richard W.

First this restaurant is great that has perfect food which I found was presented friendly and swiftly. I would really hope to go there again and have a good time.

I went there and had really good time. I loved the tabouli and all the food and also the service was excellent and the food was presented perfectly. Best restaurant. Go there and you will have great time there !!!

Without doubt, the best restaurant and food in the area. Was there last night and found the service to be charming, friendly and helpful. The food - mixed grill (lamb and chicken), chicken liver, soujouk (spicy sausages) all succulenly cooked to perfection, presented beautifully, the home-made bread light and delicious, and even the rice was perfect. The restaurant and kitchen have been created to the highest standard. Everything is outstanding.

One of a handful of 'cosy' niches restaurants along Lexington St - Unfortunately more on the cramped side than cosy. Seated against the wall in front of the bar, customers 'waiting' at the bar for their table were practically sitting on ours. The owner was very Matronly and we felt like everything was a bother.My anchovy starter was heavy on the bones and the beef stew - nothing remarkable.Would not return...

The pizzas at Il Fornello are delicious. This is a venue really for fine dining, who would think the humble pizza could be such an art? We came here last week as a group from work. They found a cosy place forus at the back where we could feel at home. I rember trying the Parma ham, mexican, and the House, and two who are vegetarian enjoyed their pizzas too! The staff were very attentive and obliging.

Amazing! Five Stars! The food here was so fresh, so tasty, so divinely cooked. My partner chose the Rainbow Trout cooked with finesse, me the Chicken Pilaf, marinated for tender, succulent flavour. It all went down really well with their well-chosen house wine. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Reminded me of my trip to Mykonos last year. Tah!

Two couples, we came early in the evening to Trattoria Verdi and spent almost the whole evening there. The food, service and atmosphere was so welcoming. We sat at a round table near the piano player. It was priced right and we got a free drink on the house.

A little gem tucked away from the bustle of Trafalgar Square. The setting was lovely and the staff very attentative. Lovely food and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely revisit.

A great venue for the view across the River Thames but the restaurant was rather soulless and lacked atmosphere. The food was lovely and good value for the money. The serving staff were rather flat - almost tourist - weary which was a shame as the venue deserved better.

Initially enticed by the review of a new 25m London restaurant visited by the Hollywood elite, I was left feeling rather deflated. The modern grandiose interior is on an awkward 2 levels so feels like you are pinned in once you sit down. There was no offer of sitting at a bar which would have made you feel like you wanted to spend the night there. The advertised 7 course tasting menu had no either/or choices and 2 of the courses turned out to be sides served with main (how special can broccoli be??). However the steak and fish were great quality and cooked to perfection but the panacotta cheesecake for dessert was rubbery. One to miss I'm afraid.

An impressive venue with an enormous bar area that was buzzing with a great atmosphere - definitely a place to be seen at the moment.We had a smooth transition to the restaurant where service was good. The menu is reasonable value with 3 courses costing no more than £35 without drinks. My starter of pigeon breast was disappointing with chewy pigeon on toast that nearly cracked a tooth. The seafood pasta main was nice and the chocolate, salt caramel dessert was to die for... An overall enjoyable night at a classy venue.

Great offers on set menu's and a selection of bars to start off your evening - a decent cosmo! Just make sure you don't go in on a night of International Football or you'll find yourself surrounded by a load of gormless blokes tearing their eyes away from the multitude of tellies learing 'hello darling...'

Initial seeming a spacious vault with contrived basic, uncomfortable furnishings - it's soon redeemed by the sumptuous menu. The starter of potted salt brisket is a must (posh salt beef...) and very filling. My friend was accommodated without fuss to meet her gluten free requirements. There is great variety on the menu for fish and meat lovers alike. The place lacked a certain amount of atmosphere until it filled up. As a City of London haunt it is quiet at the weekends but quite nice for brunch.
