I regularly attend this pub and usually live it. Unfortunately I attended this Thursday at 3.30pm and upon arrival we were told to download the App to order on. I did not have my phone so could not do this. The person that was serving continued to say if we don’t download it he would have to run round and work! Food came quickly but again disappointing we had jalepeno bites theses were burned, we then both had fillet steak which has increased in price and it had been cooked in the same utensils that had Stilton cheese in therefore there was a funny taste. We were unable to send back as staff made it clear we only had 1 1/2 hours even though the pub was empty. One of my favourite pubs really disappointed

I had booked a table online to reserve a table for 4, we turned up having being told we had to use the app to order food and drinks, my phone battery was nearly dead so we had to order via a member of staff. The lady at front of house was very miserable and felt like we were putting her out by being there!! The food was very over cooked and dry and not even a salad garnish in sight. Very disappointed wont be going back, I know the covid pandemic has been hard on a lot of businesses but would have thought they would have welcomed customers !!

We went to the Man at Arms on Thursday with our family so 5 of us in total. The steaks were good value but lacked any sort of seasoning. The presentation was below par, the tomato was not cooked at all. Employees were lovely and friendly but I wasn't impressed at all. We wont be returning such a shame.

We arrived only to be questioned straight away have you got the app!! Luckily I had my phone so managed to download it, we were sent to our table. It felt like we were a inconvenience more than a customer. The app asked for table no. (No table no. to be seen) so took us 10 min to try and find our ‘non existent waiter’ The whole experience felt like we were in a takeaway

When we arrived we were greeted with the new instructions of covid 19, we were also told how to order food and drink , ordering was easy and service was very good , we did not have to wait long for our drinks which was great, food arrived between 20-25 minutes and was cooked very good , staff was very polite and we will be back , many thanks

We both had Fish and chips with green beans and although the fish was beautiful with a lovely crisp batter and the chips were nice and brown with crispy outers we did find the green beans were a bit cool.

Absolutely lovely food everytime we visit. Staff very friendly.

We try and dine at the Man At Arms as often as finances permit. The food is always good and the meal deals, especially the two steaks and a bottle of wine for £18.99, are a bargain. Special mention to Brad who works primarily behind the bar, but takes on all roles, from meal service to sterilising surfaces, to keeping the fire going in winter.

As always excellent food and good service like the proper man portions

Had a great meal on Tuesday with the family, arrived and shown to our table by Sophie who was Very friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after us, food was 5 star and cooked to everyone’s liking all proper Covid 19 in place and safe would highly recommend, thanks for a lovely evening

I took my family to the Man at Arms last week and had a wonderful time. Each steak was cooked to perfection and the desserts were unforgettable.

Great as usual, timely service, polite staff, unable to fault. Decent honest food.

Had a nice table although it was close to the speaker which was a bit loud. The food was really good, nachos to share as a starter with pot of chilli. We had 2 steaks with bottle of house red which was fab. Steaks cooked well and my hubby said they were the best he'd had for a long while! Son had a chicken dish which he really enjoyed. Puddings were good too. All in all an enjoyable meal. We were told that we only had the table for certain amount of time which was a bit off putting but this wasn't enforced as we were still eating. Would definitely return.
