I took my friend from New Zealand for a meal that I hoped would meet her high expectations. We were not disappointed. We had fresh bread and balsamic vinegar to keep us busy and we both decided to order the Sigurd dish The steak melted in your mouth really quite incredible The gravy with Barolo was mouthwatering and somehow it all worked with the two crevettes as well. I persuaded my friend to go for the Rioja and she was very happy to have agreed with me on that choice. The service was quick but not too quick and we had a lovely chat with the owner. We were early so the atmosphere was a little hard to create it got busier later and Livened up.

First visit after a recommendation. Lovely evening, great food and service and reasonably priced. We will be back. Thank you

We had a lovely lunch here yesterday, which was marred by a lack of service. I was standing at the bar for approximately ten minutes. There were no other customers, members of staff seemed to think I was invisible and when I did get served there was no apology for the wait. I'm sure there was something going on to explain it, but it creates a bad impression. Hopefully it'll be better next time.

The man at arms is fantastic friendly and the food is Fantastic to the staff are quick and pleasant been loads of time and we love it

Steak was cooked nicely, tagliatelle was a bit undercooked but nice flavour. Good portion sizes for the money. Barman pleasant, was on his own therefore service slower than usual but not really his fault. Would recommend for decent pub food and good value for money.

We booked a table for Saturday night, we all had a lovely meal, my husband said it was the best steak he has ever had there! We did the 2 meals and bottle of wine for £19.99, very good value for money! Good atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service!

Excellent service, super hot food & plenty of it. Children’s meal are excellent value for money, and the quality of meat is fantastic. It was our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last.

Excellent service. Make sure you book on a Saturday night as very busy. Kerrie managed our booking and we got the table we wanted. The food was very good as always. Definitely going again.

We went as a party of 20 to celebrate an 80th birthday & it was absolutely fab. Kerrie & her team were amazing, food was great & I don’t know how they did it but all meals came out together & were hot. Great value for money & wont be long before we return. Thank you to everyone for making it a great evening.
